Taken with camera phone. Unless something really silly happens......this is my new bike. The front wheel and radiator is off because we're waiting on oil pan and gasket to come in.

I'll have a few different sprocket sets also. :D

Hey JC, is it pollished? Looks like the swingarm has been polished a little, but it could just be the pics.

It's been a while since I've raced a big bike in the sprint races. But, the old rule was if it was polished(anywhere), then you could not run it in the superstock class. You could only run it in the superbike class. Just FYI.

What on earth for?

Well I asked this question, and the answer I got was it had to be in totally stock fashion(aside from suspension and a few other small things). So, if it came polished brand new, then you could race it in superstock. If not, then superbike only. And, they claimed that polishing the metal removed weight

Well, I'll only be doing Trackdays for now, so I suppose it'll be cool. Can I still get my CMRA license with it like that?

How are you going to take your bike to the track? I don't remember you having a trailer.

Just throw the bike up onto of the roof of the Honda(or whatever that little rice rocket you have is) ;)

Do you have the bike yet JC or is it somewhere else right now? What year bike and what mods does it have so far? And what mods are in it for the future?

The bike is at Tony's house along with my R1. It's supposedly a 99 or 00 chassis with an 02 engine. It's stock but, it has a couple of sprocket options, I don't know what the tooth count on them are yet. I'm going over there tonight.

The future calls for adjustable rearsets, steel braided front brake lines, race tires, sprocket change, full exhaust, re-jetting and dyno. Of course setting the suspension, too.

That tail looks like an 02, I may be mistaken but my first bike was almost an 02 R6, Brand new at the time. It seems like I remember the tail section.......I might be wrong though.

The bike has track plastics on it including the tail. It looks like the tail section is largely white so JC can put his number there.

Cool. Wish you had some better pictures of the bike. If it was at your house I'd swing by and take a few. Sounds like a project with the additions to the bike you want, how soon are you looking at getting it up and running?

And if you ever need transportation I may be able to help just depending on my work schedule and what not so just give me a holler.

The bike will be in running/ racing condition when I get it. But I do plan on slapping some sticky tires on there first thing. Run it up to GMD and then go to a trackday. The other mods will be down the road. It should be mine in maybe two weeks. I'm giving him cash + the R1

I'll take some better pics tonight when I go over there.
