It has been a long time since i messed with car audio stuff but i want to install a system in my wifes tahoe which has bose and onstar. i want to add a headunit that will allow me to do away with the POS FM modulator for the dropdown DVD player. but i want to keep onstar. i want to add two 8" subs in the floor board in front of the 2nd row seats facing forward. may go with 10s. i also need an amp to psuh these subs. what do i need to install this amp/subs/head unit but keep the factory amps pushing the factory system? i know i need some sort of adaptor for the stock wiring. where can i get it and what is the part number? also, what head unit would you recommend i get that will fit in the space of the stocker but will allow me to run the amp and the DVD player through the speakers without FM modulation? thanks.

i am looking on cardomain.com and they have some deccent prices. someone look on there and recommend an amp to push 2 tens or two 8s...cheap as possible as i dont want to spend a fortune on this project. thanks.

first off, is it an 03+ tahoe? if so, you'll need an OS/2 bose interface.
If you want a good deal on that radio Local, I'll be more than happy to hook you up, just shoot me a PM.
