Ok me, stallion176, ccst_stang, and SVTfam01 went riding tonight and practiced some wheelies. Ok the part that is the hardest for me is when I get it up to where I need it I can't make it go where I want. I lean and lean and a lot of the times it just doesnt do it. All I do is just bounce it in second to get it up at about 45 and can get it to come up where I need it just have problems pointing it in the right direction. I don't sit it down cause im out of rpms most of the time i dont get over 75mph I just can't keep it straight for more than a 1/4 mile or so kinda irritating when I know I can balance it fine.

Kyle has szkilllzzz, I suppose. ;) @ Kyle. I'd like to see Kyle "back it in" he must be a professional to back it on from a 130mph straight into turn. He must have great bike control. I did it on accident once.......scared me to death!

Yeah well I don't do it on purpose. If you are braking really hard going into a turn and you are still hard on the brakes while start to turn in then it does it automatically. But on most of these roads you are never hard enough on the brakes to do it because the turns are so fast.

Well I doubt it looks near like that but yeah kinda. It's not about the back brake as much as you think. It is a combination of downshifting and the back end being really light when you are going into the corners it just wallers around. The back wheel isnt really locked up making you go sideways. It just moves around some.

What kind of tire pressure are you running? You need to run between 18-20.. I prefer 15 or 16 psi in the rear. Even the slightest weight change on either foot will change the bikes direction. You need to relax and try to put equal pressure on both feet. If you want you can stop by and I can help you out on Saturday or Sunday.

Ok I will try that but i really don't like running low air pressure cause I do like to tear the twisties up. But when I know we are just gonna do wheelies that is what I will do. I might just take u up on the offer about swinging by and getting some pointers. Let me see what the schedule looks like for this weekend.

I plan on gettin a stunt bike jus for that cuz i dont wanna mess up the new gixxer baby i got. Gotta keep her sexy! But one question when u get the bike up how do u know its at the right point? and how do u know its not goin to tip over?

Of course i didn't by a k5 as my first bike i'm not a stupid rider! my first bike was a 600 now i have a 1000 but i can pop it up in first gear sittin down and its easy but doin stand-up's is what i cant get. and yes i've seen many people loop it and i know its sucks which is one reason i dont want to do it to mine
