Whats so bad about...

Im just wondering why is it so bad about wanting a gixxer? I got one and i think its a great bike, but in diffrent forums people always look down on you if you want one or have one just because they say everybody wants one or has one. I have wanted one for along time and i finally get one and everybody thinks i got it cause everyone else as one. Every time somone says there going to buy a gixxer in other forums, they always get bashed for it. Sorry but i had to let it out, cause its really pissing me off.

What board is this? I get the same thing for getting a kawasaki. Gixxers are prolly the best bikes made that's why a lot of people have them just tell them that.

Yeah well the difference is so minor that it doesn't make a difference so therefore they are all pretty much the same performance wise.

Buy what you think is best, you most likely will not ride it to the best of its abilities anyway so it becomes a moot point.

I find gixxers to be the most comfortable of all the bikes and the easiest to work on. In a world where I wont use the bike to 100% of its potential, comfort and ease of maintaince are a big plus. Gixxers are a little slower to turn in when ur leaning hard off them, but its not too big a deal if you havent been riding a yammie or a kawi on a racetrack.

I was reading on Tamparacing.com about a guy or wanted a new gixxer 600 for his first bike, a couple of people were bashing him for it saying that he only wants it for the looks and because everyone has one. I dont care what people say im still glad i go my gixxer.

A bike is a bike, and if you got one because you care what other people think, you probably got one for the wrong reasons. You own the bike because you liked it. You are the only person that has to ride it, its all about that one-ness you feel with urself and the bike on the road.

Thats pretty funny. I would rather call mine a "gixxer" than a GSXR, its just easy, and i'm lazy. :D

The 04/05 R1 is the best looking bike in my opinion. They have this exspensive look to them and feel bad azz when you ride them. Even the 03s have that same feel just not as much power.

I think you should just get what you like and what's comfy. There aren't too many that can ride a bike past it's full potential anyway. It also depends on what you're usin' it fo. Stuntin', Strip, track days, just crusin and pickin' up hoes. U know!

i think it has to do with most people wanting to be different and not go with a "cookie cutter" bike. true, you see a shitload of gixxers on the street. but the fact that most people want one, especially newer riders, does not take away from the fact that they are awesome machines. personally, i would rather have something that you do not see very often, such as a daytona. that is also why i loved my zx-7r. true, it lagged as far as performance, but it was very eyecatching cause you do not see a lot of them out and about...

Very true, Thats why our blue and white gsxr 1000 had the white 750 tail with the stock 1000 lettering and cut off the outside trim and it looked real good.
