what is the smallest sub woofer you can buy...i want to install a pair where my existing 5*7 are i want a some bass but do not want to put in trunk and take away space.......i need somthing like a 7 or 6 inch sub that is bout 5 1/2 in hieght

JL Audio makes a 6.5" sub but it still needs an enclosure. 6W0

It will not work without an enclosure. It is not a free air driver.

The JL IFB-8 would be a good choice, you'd need to do some trimming, but they are a good sub/mid-bass driver.
