ehh, the pricing is going to be pretty similar, as is the quality of work, but I tell you this, you WILL be taken care of if there is a problem at Car Toys, which is not always the case at the smaller places, I know.

you get what you pay for when it comes to alarms. the alarm is only as good as the quality of the install.

at our shop we charge additional labor for the mustangs due to having to diode isolate at the alarm and the in the vehicle. it sucks.

<-- Does not charge extra to diode isolate mustang doors, for relays on locks, to install keyless, starter kill, etc.
Basic alarm with Keyless, trunk release, siren, door trigger, dual zone impact, LED, 2 remotes, starter kill, $229 installed. Many to choose from.

Fry's and Cartoys installers usually roll out some NASTY work! Go see EW!

<-- My last car had alarm installed by Cartoys it was a ugly install. I had all kinds of problems with it too that they where happy to charge me to fix. (Brain fell out from under the dash while racing :O, remote start would hang for ohh I dunno about 30 seconds!!, and the extra sensors I got chraged to install eventually failed about 6 months later because they where crappy quality and rain got to them.)

Yah I paid extra for hood/trunk pins. They put the trunk one in the drip rails and whenever it rained I would get water in the trunk. One under the hood worked just as good I could open the hood with the alarm armed.

And they charged you to fix it?

If you're in my neck of the woods, come to the plano store, And i'll get that remedied for you.

I'm sure he would take you up on it, but he no longer owns that car.

One more for EW. He sold me an alarm for my 94 GT, had it installed by his intallers, they removed it when it got totalled, and now have the alarm on my Lightning.
