there is a car audio forum, by the way.
you can have a prefab box, and try to get subs that will work well with it, or you can choose a good sub, and build the box for them. (the second option sounds MUCH better)
pm me if you have any questions on pricing.

pm sent
Iv heard other pre fab boxes before and havent like most of them. I know the box can make or break the sound and thats why I dont want to get a plastic prefab box. Yeah I know theres another forum for audio but I didnt think Id get many replies about a dodge truck

nah, each driver has certain factors that comprise it's "identity", and each sub tends to like a specific size/style of enclosure.
next time, use the correct forum, please.
there isn't anything "wrong" with plastic enclosures for a basic setup, but there isn't anything "right" with them either.

Follow the woofer manufacturer's suggested enclosure volume. If the plastic enclosure you're looking at is JL Audio or Vantage (same thing) it works well but the woofer you use can not have a deep basket.

and we all know that a box is a box is a box, so as long as it's wood (ish) it's worth it, right?

you apparently missed the point of that last post, buddy.
oh, thought you were talkin bout the subs  I was just saying that everywhere else i went they tried to sell me the same box but found it cheaper somewhere else. If there is a box that would make my speakers sound better id like to know where to find one

it's no guarantee, but it's quite possible that the additional or less airspace in a custom box will improve the sound of the subs, sometimes very notably.
my point was that any car isn't a good car, any pizza isn't good pizza, any blowjob well, bad example.
you get my point, i hope.
