View Full Version : good place for subs??
I have a 97 GT w/ the Mach 460 system. Does anyone know a good place to put 2 12's? I have them in a box in the trunk but it's a bitch trying to get the spare out. Does anyone know any easy way to make maybe 2 custom boxes......to maybe put one on each side or something so they don't interfere with the spare tire? Any other ideas?
By the way, my car is a coupe, not a convertible.

that's a pretty tough fit, any way you slice it.
I'd add the 3$/month Roadside service to your phone, it'll be ALOT cheaper.

all the cellular carriers offer some type of roadside assistance.

well, he mentioned that it was hard to remove the spare tire with his current box.
If you have roadside assistance, you don't need a spare tire.

Since the spare is a donut why not just remove it from the well and use the well to build a box that would house the extra space and build a mount for the tire on the side of the box.
Other options is to mount the tire to the rear of the rear seat and when you need it just fold the seat down.
Even cheaper than 3/month for roadside assistance or a AAA membership.
