Ok I have this problem thats starting to happen more and more. I have Charter cable service and every now and thenmy internet will stop working, but it will work on my brother's computer, and the PC activity light on my modem is still going as usual. The only way to ever fix it is to restart my computer. I've tried unplugging the modem power cord, and the ethernet cord and that doesn't work.
Tonight it happened while I was sending a file to a friend on AIM. Suddenly, no webpages would. I signed off AIM, and it still allowed me to continue sending the file, but it wouldn't let me sign back on AIM. This is driving me crazy.
