Downloaded it Friday and played for awhile. Very nice graphics except for a few bugs and it is an online multiplayer demo. There were a shit load of people on last night. Can't wait until the full version comes out.

Yeah, I've been playing the demo along with the PC version of GTA:SA.
Man that Demo is pretty taxing on Hardware. I have a pretty damn good PC if I say so myself, and I get the occasional studder and such.
Game is fucking bad ass though.

I had the same stuttering problems and after doing some reading it is mostly a demo bug. I also had some problems with shadows in the game and had to turn them off. The new beta driver (77.30) that comes with the demo is supposed to fix that problem on Nvidia cards. I really don't want to switch to a beta driver that was put out just for BF2 because I am afraid it will F*#$ up my other games. The minimum specs for the game are outrageous. A lot of people out there aren't going to be able to play it with their current setup.

I hear you about the hardware part, I'm currently thinking about buying 2x1GB of ram.
Just need to find someone to buy my current ram that I have for sale.

I have 1.5GB now (two 512 dual channel and one extra 512) of the Geil Ultra Platinum. I am switching to PCI-E soon so I want another 512 to run all dual channel. I have to get rid of my BFG 6800GT with NV5 silencer and decide on a PCI-E card to replace it. I to am going with the Venice core so I can overclock the shit out of it.

we played it at the lan party and up at the source the next day. game is very nice as far as physics and graphics go, but still have nto seen anything special in the squads/commander aspect of the game.

I didn't install the new drivers since there is no mention of them on Nvidia's site or even on there FTP site. I use modded XG 76.50 right now and they worked great except for the shadow problem. I just turned off shadows and everything was fine. The only point of the 77.30 drivers that come with the demo is to fix the shadow problem on Nvidia cards.
