Ok here's the deal my girlfriend has been wanting a bike for sometime now and she's thinking about going ahead and getting one.
She's never rode one and she's only 5'4
I was thinking something like a 250 ninja would be a good starter bike for her but she's afraid of getting somehting like that then having to get another one later when she learns how to rides.
I know there are alot of women on her that ride so what would you sudgest?
Her biggest fear is what kind of bike can she get and be able to touch the ground on.
Any help here would be great.
Thanks

just have her get like a 99-02 R6
I have a 01 R6 and my girl is 5'4" and can ride mine pretty well. She would be a little better off with about an inch lower but doesn't have troubles now.
Then she won't have to worry about wanting another bike in the near future. The bike will have enough power to get her out of the way on the trafic.
just my .02

Yeah that sounds like a good deal. An R6 would be a really good starting bike. I've ridden with chicks around that heigth. One of them was a lowered gixxer 600 and she had no trouble riding it.

she wants an r6. She can spot them a mile away.
I was just scared to let her get something like that for a 1st bike.
She's not to big and i wasn't sure if it would be too much and too heavy for her.
I guess i should tell her to get one then i can putt around on it too. :D

My wife started out on a Suzuki GS500 and quickly grew out of that!! I wouldn't start out on any less than a 500!! She was ready to move up in only a few months, and it's not worth losing money for that short of a time!! I'd probly look into an older model 600!!
My wife is 5'4 also, and we had to lower the bike for her. (it was a 750)
