Yes, It ran 4.90's 2 races in a row....Conservative tune nad can be made more aggressive which will probably happen since they added some weight to the car becasue of 2 wins in a row.

Nellys car already weighed 3200 +, so nothing was accomplised by the weight rule change except make the nitrous cars happy about the "new" weight rule. Besides, that big-un turbo wouldn't even know an extra 100 was added anyway so it's all moot. I can guarntee you Wolfe don't care about a 100 lbs.

The next TTT5 race is Friday the 17th at TXR.

UncI was thinking it had to weight 3200 for that class....So what you are saying is that it was 3100 before right? Then i misunderstood if thats the case...Thanks for the clarification.

Not if you got a real good un you aint gonna hurt it. Have you seen the trouble Wolfe went thru to make sure the fluid don't get hot? It's a piece of work.

Yeh, it did have to weigh 3100, but it has always tipped the scales around 3200. Wolfe need's to go back on his diet...J~K

i agree with andrew on the weight, and the glide ,itll brake no matter who builds it

So what you mean is that it will stop on a dime or that it will break into many pieces?

Most causes of glides breaking would be because fluid got too hot...I think he has that covered now. Its got the best of the best in it...I see heavier bracket racers at 4000 lbs running glides and they live. hmm

Eventually it's gonna break no matter what weight you run at. The point is if you have a good un with all good parts, 3200 lbs verses 3100 lbs aint no big deal. There's folks running good glides all over the country at 3200 lbs in big horsepower cars with very few problems. One thing about it, you won't ever hear Wolfe complain about 3200 lbs and you can bank on that.

kinda like buying a Billet crank every other race even though you know its gonna break over a 4340 crank

yeah i wasnt crazy over the 3200 lbs but hey at least the head thing was cool,,

so UNC whos idea was that any way???

I have no idea whose idea it was. I wasn't at the meeting. All I know is what I was told. I was told by a couple folks that was there that the organization had a choice. Either combine Limited with Extreme and make one class or do something to seperate them as far as ET goes. So they voted to make Extreme a one fogger class, let the Yates heads in and give the 15* and 18* heads another 100 lb weigh break. This was what I was told how it went. I can say I think all of it was a good move in the right direction.

I'm putting 10's on my car and running Extreme Street this year.

Speaking of fishing, my youngest son and I took my bass boat out last Saturday to Grapevine and we limited out on big crappie. Actually we ended up with 58 in the live well. We had to throw back 8 to be legal. Now that was fun! And I didn't burn no nitrous or break anything in the process either.

If it wasn't your car you probably wouldn't complain either.

FWIW, I've got one of these: www.nealtrans.com

Hey now, I don't think that's Wolfes attitude at all. Wolfe aint a complainer. Give em the rules and turn him loose. It may not be his car, but he has a lot invested in it.

I don't have a Neal Chance tranny, but I've got the BTE version of the Neal Chance Pro Series. I haven't had a bit of trouble. And My car weighed 3500 lbs last year.

I tried to sell mine last year. I'm glad I didn't now. My youngest son and I have been taking it out and having a blast. It doesn't eat pistons, break gears, chew up tires or any of that stuff.

I'm not saying that's his attitude, but that I would have less concern about such things if it weren't my car.

I'm sure that Wolfe has invested LOTS of time building that car, and it shows!

I still owe $25k on mine :( I have more money in my boat than I do my race car,

btw, why where you fishing grapvine? I can walk to it and I have only had my boat on it one time, and that was to break the motor in. You should take your son out to Fork and let him get ahold of a real bass. :D

I'm an avid crappie fisherman. I've been making brush piles on Grapevine for about 15 years now. This time of year all the way up till about the first good cold front in late October, they are stacked in the brush piles. It's a sleeper lake for big crappie. We tear em up.

huum... maybe I should go out this week and search for your honeyhole, with my lowrance color "fish finder" ;). grapevine is small enough, I already kinda got an Idea where it might be. Maybe i will walk down around and throw rocks at you from the trees. :p j/k

btw, you know anybody that would be interested in some Zercom fish finders? I replaced mine with a lowrance unit?

Be careful, I throw/shoot back! :D

Sell the Lowrance units on Ebay. They bring good money on there.
