Looking to buy a new 4-wheeler. Have heard mixed reviews about Polaris from various dealers, but nothing from actuall owners. Anyone that has one, or has had one, whats good or bad about them? Would you buy another? just curious...

thanks for the info. have heard nothing but good praise from owners of polaris. dispite the ever present bashing from the other dealerships. i like the idea of not having to shift the atv, also gives you a little less stress when drunk family members think they know how to ride it :D

OK Im going against the rest on this one. EVERY Polaris Sportsman I have seen has been back to the dealer for repairs at least once but most of the time more than that. Out of the two people I know with predators I have heard they are solid quads but unhappy with performance and are switching soon to either the red side or blue side. All in all I wont ever buy one because out of 6 people I know with Polaris' not one person has told me they will go back to one. Now my Honda on the other hand........................... ;)

BTW, I BELIEVE we have already had to fix yours didnt we? Soemthing about a axle bending and the front end getting outta whack? That doesnt sound like quality to me ;) :D

I love my polaris and have never had a problem with it. I am going to put it up for sale in the next few weeks because I have not been able to ride it and I have had a few medical conditions come up that will hinder me from doing so. I have a 2003 polaris trail blazer 400 if anyone is interested.

Only problem with the Honda Utilities is the drum breaks in the back. The say they are o-ring'd so they are water proof but all they have proven themselves to be is water TRAPS. I hear about more break failures on the Honda utilites than any other. O yeah and the MSRP is crazy. Kawi has some nice utilities too like the Prairie and the Brute Force.

$6700 otd 2 years ago.
Still runs like a bitch.
I have crossed the red river at muenster on that thing so many times and it just keeps going. it's fun to put it in 4 wheel drive and ride wheelies backwards.. gets everyones attention real quick.
