I think he recently received an honorary award from some university in Italy (I think). Maybe that is why he was wearing the hat. It sucks that Gibernau crashed out. It would have been exciting to see Rossi, Biaggi, and Gibernau battling hard for first in the last 5 or so laps.

I'm glad he washed out. I like seeing him frustrated, it's entertaining. hahaha But Melandri kept 'em honest. I was actually scared for awhile for Rossi. Biaggi was eatin up Rossi's laptimes by lap 8 and I thought Rossi was having problems with the bike. He actually said that his front was acting up but, you couldn't tell by the way he was riding it by the end of the race.
