Mikey...i heard you went 6.13ish before your car blew up again. i've got some stock pistons at the shop, like 14 or so i think, 6 from my 01 motor and 8 from a 98 motor if you need a couple let me know. but really, if you got it to run 6.13 that's haulin, congrats, if not get'er done.

Mike's piston looks like it went through a meat grinder or something lol. On the brightside, the side of the piston that came apart managed to add a little dish to the remaining section of the piston so a little jb-weld and Mikey is that much closer to a low compression turbo ls1! yes!

If you do the numbers right.....Reids car went a 6.60 on the small shot....he spun(I didn't spin at all) so it puts him around a high 6.70....and 3 cars on that is a mid 7 second car....why do you need the move with your high 6 sec coupe?

Its also new age material we are working with...Someone has to find the limits of what we are working with. Some body had to do it to the 5.0 motors to know what you can and cant do with them..>DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes: There aint nothing wrong with this block anyway. Just needs one piston replaced...Its all a learning curve for me and everyone else in this community of LS1 powered stuff...How do you think the 5.0 got such extensive aftermarket? People blowing shit up in search of something stronger.

As for me, I know the limitaions on my combo. 6.40s is what it runs now.... That's fast enough for me.How many races have you won against me with that same block? I can't count how many stock 5.0 blocks I've seen crater trying to break into the 6s. Not just pistons but the block webbing coming apart, destroying cranks, transmissions, blowers.Like anything else, its all in the tune and turbo's are easier on the motor. There are several people on www.turbomustangs.com running 9s with stock 5.0 blocks. A few with the hypershitty pistons as well.

I've seen a few crack open make just over 400rwhp with nitrous. A couple of seconds of detonation will kill it.
