I'm not in the market to buy a car right now but I'll throw my wishes out.
I'm the kind of buyer who doesn't mind spending hours and hours researching about the car and its costs. I'm the kind that goes out to buy a car and walks away thinking I got the best deal of the year, then later realize I got took. I fell into that several times. This is why I love the X Plan. A no hassle, fixed price deal. I know what the out-the-door price is before I even leave my house and I know it's a fairly good deal. This is how I bought my last two Fords.
Surely I can spend hours and hours talking to several Ford dealerships in DFW, but I'd rather not. I could read articles and books and watch videos on how to beat the car salesman at his game, but I'd rather not. I could bring my friend along who is a used car salesman to be my adviser, but I'd rather not. I could try to fake you out and say I have a better offer from the "other" Ford dealer, but I'd rather not. I'll probably lose at that game anyway.
I know not everyone can do X Plan and not everyone has the hook up for an A Plan. If I were looking to buy a vehicle right now, I'd want a no hassle, no haggling, very minimal mark up deal. If you can maybe price something in between A and X Plan prices, without hiding additional costs in dealer prep or financing, I would not hesistate to come see you and only you.
Ideally, I wish I could walk into Wal-mart, look at the prices on the shelves, pick my car out, walk to the register, pay bottom dollar, then drive off.

You right about X-plan. We are #1 in the nation in X-plan sales. We learned that you have to provide beyond excellent costumer service since the price is honored at most Ford dealerships. We also have the fortune of being in close proximity to several of the biggest companies on that plan.
I like Stangers to have the same type experience. X-plan is below our invoice and made possible by a reimbursement from Ford. I can't sell all my vehicles at that price without the plan. However, I can sell almost all of our vehicles for just a few hundred dollars more to anyone from this site. That keeps your research and valueable time to a minimum.
If you are wondering if your company is a X-Plan company, P.M. me and I'll look it up for you.
An easy hint is your company buys lots of Fords. :D

I realize not everyone can use A/D/X Plan but a fixed price bottom dollar "DFWstangs special" might be attractive. If I didn't have X Plan, I'd still prefer a no hassle fixed price deal. Me and all the buyers who suck at playing the game of buying a car.

Right now is the time to buy. We are already getting 06's in now. You need to take advantage of the 05 rebates!! We don't have too many left. Even if you can't use X-plan, I'll take care of that end anyway.
Let me know when you can come out.

We won't know until we find out how many we're getting. We hope we get enough we won't need to, but I know we've already had tons of people asking when they can order one.
My goal is to sell the majority to board members.

I'm not a salesman, but...
06s will have 17" wheels available on the V6 and 18" on the GTs.
Sonic Blue is out and Vista Blue and Tungsten colors are in.
V6s will have Pony Package option with chromed corraled pony and fogs up front, running pony floor mats, pony fender badges, rear spoiler, 17" rims, ABS/TCS & side stripes. Unknown if front bumper will change.
06s will also have TPMS in them (Tire Pressure Monitoring System).
You can order 06s now...and I'd expect to see them on lots in Oct. (I could be wrong there, though).

I was just handed about 12 pages of ordering codes  by our inventory manager for the 06 Stang. I'll report what I see. I would guess October or November, but not much to base that on.
Everything list above is on our new product changes list.....Gee, wonder where it came from? ;)
We are not really talking or thinking about 06's now so I hadn't looked for this info.

06 Mustangs are being ordered now. I have the codes already. Let me know what you want.
Vista is new for 06. We don't have any vehicles with it yet. It will be a little more blue with out the purple tint.
They officially stopped ordering 05's about a month ago.

Any idea how many '05 Mustang GT's Ford made, are those figures out yet? I know it's early but you say they aren't taking orders so I am just checking. My guess would be less than 60K.
It seems like they sure did not have enough production for demand.

Let's see.......I'm to the point of a new Mustang GT. I know you can't order anymore units and that you have a few on the way in to the dealership. I'm after either a Black, Sonic Blue, or Redfire with Dark Charcoal interior, Shaker 500 system, either an auto (preferred) or five speed manual, with the "base" wheels (Bullit look-a-likes). I will be trading in a '98 GT with 166K on the odometer. Car has no horrendous mods other than a transbrake, off-road pipe and Nitto DR's. Black w/light gray interior, power door locks, seats, windows and Mach 460 sound. In good shape for it's age. I know, I know.....the mileage will kill the trade in but this is what I've got to deal with so send me a PM with the info.
Thanks.

Ford will produce 192,000 Mustangs for 05; 80,000 more than in 2004
We ordered 40% of ours as GT's. Most dealers didn't get as high percentage.
This is by far the most lopsided demand we had in decades. Usually the demand for the GT is way less then V6. This year the Gt has been in higher demand than the V6. Luckily once we got GT buyers to drive the new V6, they were suprised by the power and handeling.
I don't have a way to find out how many GT's were made right now. Sorry, this is what I do know. :o

Thanks for the info. It just seems Ford could have sold 300K+ units and missed a huge profit potential because of poor planning at the corporate level.
I would sure be upset if I was a shareholder/dealer and wondered why they were losing money.

The problem is the dealers and Ford (Ford Motor Credit) have made more money this way. Nobody was making money on Mustangs in 04. They had a $3000 rebate by late summer. They originally didn't expect the demand that the car recieved. They did takes steps to increase production even more in March. They literally can't keep up. We are defintely not happy to tell someone we don't have what they want. I have to tell someone that about once a day.
