Scary sh*t just happened to me

Rolling to work going down 114 and I'm doing maybe 80 mph in some light traffic. I keep hearing a noise and it's getting louder so I raise up my shield trying to figure out where the noise is coming from when a tire from an 18 wheeler I was passing came apart :eek: Scary shit and I was getting pelted by rubber. Closed my shield and got the fuck out of there and I see the 18 wheeler in my mirror slowly swerving left and right and eventually pulling over to the shoulder.

Interesting way to start off my 13 hour shift here at work LOL!.

my first time to hit anything on the highway 18 wheelers tire came off in the left lane, where i was at. ran over that scaring the crap outta me. then not even five seconds later in the right lane there was a couch in the road. :eek:

No way! Jeremy Keller is a friend of mine and a few years back, I loaned him one of my bikes to comute to work while his truck was getting fixed and he got taken down by a roll of the foam padding that goes under carpet. He was only skinned up a little, and no one ran him over. He said he rode if for a while 'till he got to the actual roll part...that's what bucked him way up in the air! That has to be some scary shit! :eek:

Did you know, in the state of TX, if something falls off a truck or out of a car and hits the ground before it hits you or you run it over, it's classified as "road debris" and it's your own damn fault if it hits you. How must does that suck!

Yeah man glad to hear nothing bad happened. Iv almost road over lots of shit heading out to work and everytime I tell myself "IV GOT TO GET A DAMN TRUCK!!". But after that Im riding wheelies again :rolleyes:

Yeah, that really sucks. Glad you made it thru. I hate riding next to those damn trucks. They can barely see cars, much less us on a wittle bike.
