doesnt give you much time to brake if you run a 1/4 mile down an 1/8th mile track.

The planning and organization for this event was horrible. Redline is not big enough to handle this kind of event. There were over 200 cars racing, and the parking lot was overfilled with hardly any room to drive. I do mean that, because it's bad when you have to wait 3 or 4 minutes to leave. I had to wait on a lane wide enough for one car to drive to the entrance to exit Redline. They didn't turn anyone away, and the line to race was backed up to the return lane at the end of the track. It took my buddy 2 hours to finally do one pass for 20 bucks. They said on the website only cars with street tires were allowed to race. We pulled up and there was a good portion of cars running on slicks. I was also disappointed there were not any automotive vendors there other than Kuhmo tires. I would rather have automotive parts vendors and buy, sell, and trade booths than Penthouse magazine

Doh!!! Hopefully they'll keep these events away from all the tracks in north TX. The Motorplex doesn't even have a sport compact race anymore. Even on Friday nights, the rice levels have dwindle some. Maybe the rice burner craze will just die!!!!!

I got there early and got a couple of runs in a few minutes. Lined up for my third and the track guys said i was leaking tranny fluid so i checked it out and it was one of the fittings coming out of my tranny.
Didn't have any tools so i just put my muddin tires back on and left. wasn't really there for anything but running my car. It was REALLY hot and my car ran like crap in the two runs i got. 7.30's @ 94. oh well better luck next time.

I felt like an extra from Fast and the Furious. I met Hector, can't remember his last name though. The discount tire guy gave my friend $50 in Gift Cards towards some tires. It was fun... other than the crowd and the claustrophobia factor.
