We dont have time to work on Seans car.No one ever said they were going to "own" that class.
Even if it was running and contending in that class..they would be outlawed for the 15 degree heads in no time.So why not go ahead and get the car ready to be run in the next class? ;)

Can the winners from each class get a C-6 to test drive for the weekend as
an additional prize ???

I don't know where this organization is going, but I have alot of time and money

Not just a Ford but a Mustang! New rule, nitrous'd first gen Camaros can run W tires now and can drive past the scales:) I know at the first race they spent probably 10 minutes teching in Nelly's car. I bet if someone else was driving it they would have opened the hood and looked for a catch can then let him go.

I bet if someone else was driving it they would have opened the hood and looked for a catch can then let him go.No, they only spent ten minutes because they don't have the resources to spend alot of time teching cars. They said it a million times, they work on a honor system mostly and the racers help make sure no one is cheating. Thats how they caught the orange chevy in extreme cheating. His Houston buds told on him. When they teched my car the guy just looked under the hood for about 1 minute and asked what size turbo I had and everything was good to go. You can't even see my turbo from the engine bay. If I ever win someone might come measure it though but thats fine with me.

I personally saw what he had to go through Friday night and it is not right. Cheaters coming back to trry and race even after getting suspended for 6 months, the track cutting payouts after the race had started. It is no fun when you constantly have to defend the org. and be the bad guy all the time. I would not have stuck around as long as he did. We just need some new blood that is willing to sacrifice some of their personal time to get this org. back on it's feet and straighten out the race schedule and track payouts. I personally think there should be contracts involved on the payouts.

I have a full time day job, do side work on the weekends, got 3 kids, a wife,
and I don't even have time to finish my racecar.

And racers are the biggest cry babies out there, just go around the country and
read all the message boards from the different oganizations.

Everyone is bitching about who's winning, or not winning because they won't let them run a certain setup.

The rules are there for a reason, read them or have them read to you. Then build your car as the rules are outlined.

As far as cheaters, does nobody have any pride ??? I would rather loose knowing
I was within the rules, than win by breaking them.

So, I know what Unc and Ced have to listen to at every race. Maybe they should have started a Day Care, instead of a racing organization, nothing but baby sitting.

Like I said before, all this jumping through my ass to get this car done, and now there may not be a class to race in.

I'm still going to Wichita Falls on Saturday, got to get the car certified, so I hope everything goes good at the meeting.

I'll get right on that but the prize car won't be a new C6. I did see a 180K mile Escort we traded in the other day. Maybe I can get them to dontate that. Trailer required to pick up prize. ;) :D

I may be with you Jim.......Lots of $$ in and still not there yet. I hopped to be ready by now but work and having our first baby on the way has kinda slowed things down. I may go ahead and notch my frame now so I can tuck a 10.5 under the car. Only reason I was not doing it was True Street rules said I cant alter the frame for tire clearance. I can get a 10.5 on but it looks like shit comming out of the car.

There are to many racers in that org. that don't want it to go by by. Lots of money spent to their cars within the rules so I don't see everyone folding over on this one. The question is, will it be the right man for the job.

Nice to know I'm an idiot, thanks! I've never met either of you that I know of but it is nice having a class developed locally that the smaller time guys can compete in. I can imagine what it's like trying to run an organization like this and I have to respect anyone that does it.

As long as the car count stays steady the rules are fine. People bitch but they still show up and race. There are several cars in LS that can run just as fast as Wolfe's car, and they will. Anyone that has been following street legal racing has probably heard of Tony Christian. Well his old crew chief (Scott Walters) was working on the runner ups car last weekend, Bubba's car is definitely gonna be fast.

Funny thing I just realized, back in 96 when the NMCA was going strong there were two cars kicking ass at every event in pro street. Landon Jordan's 69 Camaro and Tony Christian's 57 chevy. The crew chiefs of both cars are now racing in this local series, pretty cool deal. Landon's old car is here: http://www.wolferacecraft.com/cust/kirk.aspx if you want to check it out. First super street car in the 7s and the first door car ever in the 6s with a real automatic trans.

Was he causing a commotion or something??This Friday? I only overheard part of the conversation with Unc but he was trying to say Cedric said he could come back and run. Then they got Cedric on the phone and he said no but then Kyle talked to Cedric and next thing I know Chip was racing in extreme. I don't know if it was just for car count and would not recieve a payout or what. I think it is BS that he did get to run though because it is unfair to all the rule obiding racers in that class but I don't know the whole story. I heard Kyle say something about not coming back if they did not let Chip run. It's that type of stuff that I know makes unc's and Cedrics job suck. I would of sent his but back to Houston no matter what. He was supposed to be suspended for a year but they took it easy in him and said half a season, then he shows up the very next K-Dale race.

It's attitudes like yours that keep them coming back at you. If you would be more diplomatic and bite your tongue every now and then, they might shut up. If you didn't take everything so personal and use words like "idiot" on a public board, then maybe they wouldn't add fuel to the fire. It's human nature to keep fuckin with people that let it get to them. I don't know why but it always happens that way. You get mad then they keep messin just to see how pissed you will get.

You may very well be right Joe. I'll use a little diplomacy here. This person BP, whoever he is, insinuated the tech performed on Nelly's car was excessive and unjust. Little does he know, Sammy the man doing the tech, and David Wolfe go way back and are good friends, that's why he took 10 minutes. But these are the kind of shots that people take at us on a regular basis and these are the attitudes that have lead us to the decision of stepping aside. Everyone wants to jump on the ban-wagon and point out what they think is wrong and take shots at us/TTT5, but few want to jump in and help. It gets old, real old and it takes the fun out of racing. It would be different if we were doing this and putting a paycheck in the bank, but we are not. We have donated out time and resources because we love to race and we try to do right by the racers. We can't make everybody happy and we know that. But then again why would anyone continue to work at something they care about if the end result is constant thrashing and bashing from the very people they are working for? Me personally, I want to get back to having fun again racing and Cedric feels the same way, where ever that may be! :)

When racing isnt fun its time to change something. I agree with uncs decision. If you have to cheat and cause problems within a nonprofit organization to win a race then you should be banned for ever I would think  Your taking others $$$ that they paid for a shot at winning more and not giving them an equal shot at winning. Fuck cheaters ;)

How can I help? Let me know and I'll try my best.

Regarding the Wolfe/tech deal I'm sorry, didn't realize they were good buddies. I've just seen him get grilled time and time again by most of the sanctioning bodies out there and none of them have ever found him to be cheating. He wins, people complain but he's always within the rules. Eventually the rules get changed, usually unfairly biased against turbo cars but majority rules. You have to concede a little to keep the racers happy.

Like I've said before though, there are some nitrous cars out there that will lay down a number soon. There is too much talent in the area for it not to happen. If nothing else there are a few KOTH cars that could probably make it down the track on smaller tires.

My car was not ready so Chip let me take his car. Removed 3rd kit THEN went to Kennedale. They were not gonna let me run at first because they said the driver & car are both suspended. However, since their official rules only stated that the driver is suspended they let me run Chip's car this time but the rules would get revised after this race. Qulified with a 5.35 but broke the ring gear in the first round. That's it.
