i have them for my highs and low. i love the highs, they are very clean. the lows i guess could be better, but its nice and clean enough for my small application.

kinda suck, for the money. I'd go Eclipse, or Audison, or some other brand, personally.

you kinda suck!
They're not bad. The 2005 models are great performers and very flexible in capability.

That what i was looking at, i don't really want booming base just real clean and tight bass, and then something for a front component set...
MRV-F345 for fronts
MRV-M605 for subs

the v12 series amps for 2005 are bad ass. they are CEA certified and rated in RMS....they put out what they say and are great for any application. the v12 MRD-M605 has a really nice didgital display too. i guess they are kind of pricey, but you can get the mrp-m350 for about 179 and it kicks ass for 2 type e 10's or 12's or even 1 type r 10 or 12. its not a v12 but it is a D Class mono block with thermal managment

You sound like you just read the brochure, yet have zero idea what real world performance is.
They aren't bad, but they aren't great.
I will NEVER run one in my personal car.

a friend has a single JL 10" w6 dvc in a sealed box that I was kinda planning on, but I haven't bought anything yet...the HU is and alpine 9835...
I want something with clean tight bass...this will be going in a vw gti. I would consider other subs or configurations... I will eventually put a component set in the front...

what's the budget? a 500/1 would be great, memphis 500d, the new mtx 5601d is pretty ballsy, but it's HUGE and i have doubts to its quality. it depends on the goals.

sound quality, don't care about booming bass
I really don't want to spend more than $500-600 on the sub/amp less is much better more money for components latter
and don't want to take up to much room with the rear seat up there isn't a ton of room back there and usually have alot of shit with me lol
I was beggining to doubt onebandwagon on the shit he says up untill he reccommended the MTX D SERIES amp. He is right i had a 1501 D series amp on 3 JL audio w6 10's and slammed the shit out of them turned up about halfway. It is a little pricey though, but you pay for what you get. I sold that system and then got something just to have a system, I got a v12 not sure what model with 2 12' inch kicker CVR and did OK. It did sound real good but didnt compare to the 1501's rough load ass drops. By the way If you really want a Ok crisp sound I can get a v12 amp for a good price. MTX D series are prob 2 times more the money.......................MILK

onbadwagon, you sound like a real winner........i gave my opnion on an amplifier i sell. i have experience with many different amplifiers......i install them on a daily basis, its my job. i know which ones i prefer and which ones i dont. some are good some are better and some are best. yah an alpine 350 isnt the best amplifier you can buy but for soemone looking for a couple subs and a good amp its a great deal. just because you think you are mr. billy bad ass car audio doesnt mean alpine isnt a good amp just cuz your shit doesnt stink and your too good to use one. i honestly prefer a crossfire amp....but they are more expensive......but i liek alpine as well. as well as other brands.......but to be honest your comment was completely worthless and if it came down to it i wouldnt give a bucket of piss for your future. so go to hell

I'm not Mr. Badass, but with the name Alpine, the performance of their amplifiers are not what i would like to associate myself with.
for the money, you can have a better amplifier, so I would not use one.
that's like me saying that you can buy a faster car, cheaper, and you saying, "yeah, well, i like my SVT focus."

Jake listen to Mr.Wagon, he knows a little about car audio. :p Get the speaker from your friend, and get the JL 500/1. It is a great bass amp and has plenty of processing for your needs. If you wanna go for broke, put a EQT in front of it.

Everyone has different opinions especially when you have/don't have experience with a product or you sell/don't sell a product. I would not have MTX (or crossfire) in my car but I have not sold MTX since 97 so what do I know. Just becuase you disagree does not mean you have to bag on Mr Wagon. He deals with amps every day as do I. Some people want better equipment than the least expensive bass amp Alpine offers. There are advantages to better equipment. I think the 2005 Alpine V12 product ($0.50/watt) is kick ass especially the MRV-F545 but there is always something better.
