Ok, so I took a trek out to Motorcycle Planet in N. Richland Hills yesterday to get a tire on my bike. Nice place, would recommend it if you don't wanna go all the way out to the GMH.
Anywho, they were busy, so I asked one of the other guys in line why he was there. He tells me that he's getting plastics for a 2005 Honda CBR 600RR. He said that he bought a harley and got the Honda for his son (SOPHMORE in HS, no job, holy crap)... and his son laid it down trying to show off in the high school parking lot. He told me he was doing somewhere around 75 and hit some water, locked the brakes and laid it down hard. He had a helmet and leather jacket on but the ground ate right through his pants, but he wasn't hurt... the bike was pretty bad off though.
1- How many of your parents would have bought you a brand new bike when you turned 16 and,
2- Of those people, whose parents would spend their saturday out buying plastics for your bike that you wrecked being a damn idiot?
I was so mad I coulda punched this guy just to knock some sense into him.
Rant over.

it is obvious he has the money to waste and not enough sense to know he is going to get his kid killed. survival of the fittest. his kid dying makes the road that much safer for you and me...

That's sad, but you're probably right. He's just gonna be another spoiled kid that doesn't take responsibility for anything he does 'cause his parents are always there to bail him out...

you have no idea of how spoiled kids are today. I go to Flower Mound High School, and most of the kids come from very well to do families. I know kids that have flipped, totalled, or done anything else to destroy a car and their parents go out and buy them a brand new one. There are 2 kids at my school that have brand new 05 GTO's, one kid got a busa and totalled it and lost a leg, and 4 kids got mercedes benz c320's for their 16th birthday. It really pisses me off since they really don't get the value of it. I worked my ass of since i was 14 earning money for a car, and mine may not look the greatest, but i am proud of it cause i paid for it.

well thats ture he in this case is definatly even worse than the kid. but in most cases the parents are still just as stupid for buying the kids a second car after they destroy the first one. if i had that kinda money and a kid and they wrecked the car i gave them i would sure as hell make there ass get a job to get another one they already had their hand out learn how to drive or wreck your own shit thats how i see it.

These kids are at the race track too. That's why I stoped racing the first time. I got tired of stomping these punks in the corners only to have them motor by me on the strait cause daddy put a bunch of money in the bike. This one kid told his dad he wanted my pit spot, and this ass actually took a step toward me like he was going to ask me to move 'till I shot him the "I'll beat your bitch ass down" look! Punk ass kid (16+yrs old) whined for like an hour. This topic give me the urge to do violence...I better get back to work!
