Mavs vs Rock Show - game 1

It's not going well so far... it was 14-14 in the first and then H-town went on a huge run and went up by 19 points. Fortunately, Dallas has chipped away a bit and is within 12 at the half. That's a pretty small margin for Dallas to overcome if they can D up a little and start hitting a few more shots.

Damn...we got to within 4, but then the bottom fell out again. TMac made some incredible shots today as well as Mike James. Mavs are gonna have to play like their usual selves if they're gonna rebound in this series...but I'm not worried. They can't play like this 2 times in a row...

Dirk is the MAvs leading postseason scorer, averaging (IIRC) some 26.6 ppg in the post season. Yes, Dirk has had stronger games in his career than the one had yesterday, but it isnt as if he didnt score....he had 21 and led the team in scoring.

That being said, Dirk has a history of weak game 1 performances, in contrast with his overall series contribution. To see one mediocre game and declare that "Dirk cant carry a team" is a knee jerk reaction of the biggest kind.

A moral victory is saying "We came within one game of winning the division" or "We would have won if it weren't for injuries". I loved seeing the Mavs choke like they do every late April, but I don't see how it's a moral victory :confused:

The box scores show Terry scoring 17 points, and Dirk, 21 points. IMHO, neither had a particularly stellar game, but Terry had a better game than Dirk.

ooo i guess he didnt score anything else after i left i mean there was 7 minutes left in gmae clock sooo.. My bad should have checked dirk was gawd awful hope that game was not a sign of things to come this playoff...and was it jsut me or what the refs callin anything and everything against the mavs
