View Full Version : Its official...Mavs vs Rockets in the 1st round.

I'm finally glad to be seeing someone other than Sacramento for a change. I also like this matchup for the Mavs. It should be very entertaining. Oh yeah...it's only a half hour flight to Houston vs 3 hrs to Sacramento, so I'm sure the Mavs players are happy about this as well.

Mavs matchup better with Sac...the Rockets will give them aliitle trouble. They will need to contain T-MAC and keep him under 20 points a game. Yao shouldn't be problem for Damp. It will go at least 6 games. McGrady is my favorite player but I would like to see the Mavs win. :D

I thought the first round was a 5 game series...or did they change that? I know they had been talking about moving it to 7 like the others.

Needless to say, Houston wont be a cake walk.

They changed it a couple of years ago. Wanted the season to last longer

It will go 6 games and that's it! :) Mavs will win 4/2. It will be tough and the games will be close. The Mavs and Rockets appear to be at the top of their games right now, but the Mavs are deeper. And if I remember correctly, I believe Juwan Howard is out for the season...meaning after Yao, there is no middle presence for the Rockets. This could be Damp's coming out party.

That much is in stone...but as of now, they haven't released the dates/times...although game 1 will probably be saturday. Last regular season game is tomorrow, so I figure at least 2 days before post season begins.

I think they will win the first round and have some time to rest. All the other matchups look to be long.

when will they announce when the first round game is? i need to know asap. if it is sat. would anyone be interested in purchasing platinum level seating? two tickets.

The website says they will announce the round 1 playoff schedule on April 21. I've got tickets to the first game and can't go if it's on Saturday.... i'm crossing my fingers BIG TIME!

I would've rather played Sacramento, but I still think we can beat the Rockets. It may take a full series to do it, but we can beat them.

Houston is on a 7 game streak including wins @ Phoenix, @ Seattle, Memphis, Denver, and Seattle again, all playoff teams. They're no slouch with 6 players averaging 10 pts or better.. they're pretty hot right now.. UNFORTUNATELY for them.. we've been hotter! GO MAVS!!
