im a big guy (6'3, 260) and was trying to decide on either a ZX10 or 12...was thinking maybe a 12 because itll have more torque...what do yall think?

With your height and weight you will swallow a ZX10 sitting on it.
You would be more comfortable on a 12

I agree you'll be more comfortable on a 12. The 12 has more torque but is a pig in weight, the 10 has more hp and is about a 100lbs lighter.

I weigh 140 on a light ZX10, and you weigh 260 on a heavy ZX12, your never gonna beat me mod for mod.......the moral is, it just depends on who your racing. You will never have the fastest bike. Get what's comfortable for you, there all gonna feel fast!

Are you asking wich one will gain the most power if you do the same mod to it, for example if I pipe and pc my zx10 and pipe and pc a zx12 wich one will gain more????

You will do more than 140, trust me, when your talking about bikes......you can hit 140 on a 10 or 12 very quickly and back down to legal speeds within a matter of a few seconds.

a 12 is gonna gain more power with mods. Ive seen 240rwhp 12's on motor. A 10 might do that with some spray. Or in another year with a billet crank and big valve head :)

I touched 175rwhp with pump gas, a pipe, and tuning on a stock motor Zx12..with lots of miles on it. They are gonna be alot more comfotable for a bigger guy also...a 250+ pound guy would swallow a zx10! My first choice would be the busa though. Longer stroke allows for lots of bottomend torque, easier to ride, ect. But the looks are love or hate :)

Well with that said Stacie over at MSQ claims he can pull another 20 hp out of a 10 with fine tuning and a pipe. It's tit for tat,,,,who cares get what you like mod it how you want and don't get upset if a smaller bike happens to roll by you.

Tuned zx10s with a pipe make about 169-170rwhp. There are lots of other tricks but they arent PUMP gas bikes either. MR9 on a stock 10 is worth like 8-9 HP lol. Its crazy, weve been talking about building an ls1 to run on oxygenated fuel

NOT,,,John bought an 05 gixxer 2 weeks ago went through the break in and last thurs we rolled out, it was pretty even rolls and i out weight hime by 45lbs. He would pull on me from 50-100 and I would real him in around a 100. Next week we're shootin over to Al Lamb's to roll'em both on the dyno.

Pick up the May 05 issue of Sport Rider where they do an 05 liter shootout. Good reading with suprising results.

As far as the zx12,,plano kawasaki / suzuki has a green brand new 03 12r still on their showroom floor. Might want to check it out.

Same here, raced and 05 and pulled on him with 500-700 miles on it. He said he was lifting the front end up so I raced him again a few days later and used the ol reverse psycology on him, let him jump on me just to see if I would reel him in and I did. BTW: his front end was planted so no excuses, I watched from behind, gave him the thumbs up and went on home! haha.....Nice bikes though, big fan of the turn signals. :D

honda doesnt race really, and kawi just backed out of drag racing completely this year. zuk is represented by shops themselves! Ryan isnt on contract, so hes gonna be riding whatever is faster, although little rickey G and norman jackson are still carpenters kawi boys for now. And richie rich is still backing smurfs blue zx10 ass of cobys. Its ok, even though all that is going on, they still crushed kaw the first race. Well see what happens next time.

I don't think Norman is good enough to beat Ryan......I don't know for sure and not saying Norman can't ride, but Ryan could even make your bike look fast! :D

My bike put down 150.45 hp on the dyno tonight, Stock. Schnitz is running way more than me.

i didnt think it was too shabby for a 339rwhp busa on the first night out.....when i put in back on the dyno after the initial track time it spun a bearing and never got to make anymore passes, kept losing power :) But it purrs like a kitten now, zoom zoom zoom yea
