The 740-acre site that houses the Barber Motorsports Park is set within a perfectly manicured and sculpted landscape with heavily wooded surroundings. Because it is located within the city limits of Birmingham Alabama, Barber Motorsports Park offers visitors all of the amenities associated with big city living - fine dining, shopping malls, ample lodging and premium hotels, night clubs, movie theaters and family entertainment - all within minutes of the facility. Barber Motorsports Park is located just one mile off Interstate 20 and is only 10 minutes from Birmingham International Airport.
While on site visit the Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum which is the home of a collection of over 750 exotic motorcycles and various rare automobiles including the largest single collection of Lotus racing cars in the world. Barber Vintage Motorsport Museum is a four story 141,000 sq. ft. glass enclosed masterpiece that is nestled overlooking turns 8 and 9. The museum is open to the general public on a daily basis and will feature "live" demonstrations of rare museum pieces on a regular basis.
During one of our spectator events, take advantage of the spectator friendly viewing. The Barber Motorsports Park was built unlike most road courses, where as a spectator can see at least 75% of the course at one time from most areas. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy this casual hillside seating. Spectators are not allowed to rope off any areas, and scaffolding is prohibited. Onsite Parking is available.
Camping will be allowed during all spectator events, details will be listed under each event. The Barber Motorsports Park has a beautiful premium Hillside Motorhome Park overlooking 85% or more of the facility. Space will be limited in this most desired area so call the track office in advance to reserve your space. Power will not be available for spectator camping for the 2003 season.
During certain events the Barber Motorsports Park will have Trams available to get you around the Park, so park your car and let us do the driving.
The Barber Motorsports Park has it's own dedicated FM radio frequency- 106.3 FM. Bring your radio or buy one here and tune into all the racing action.
Tickets: (800) 240-2300. Event info: (205) 298-9040.

I was invited to join the BMW CCA there over memorial day weekend. I might have been fun to beat up on a few Bimmers with the stang. Alas, money is an issue after the IRS took all my money....
maybe later in the year when I can spare some time would be nice. I have heard it is an awesome facility but make sure you follow the rules regarding leaks and jacks/jackstands. I heard the last SCCA event there was charged over $20k for damage to the paddock area. Apparently there is some "exotic" asphalt there that is easily damaged.
Have fun, take a lot of pics and share stories when you return. Just beware of the ants!! ;)
