Loose weight the real way, start eating better and exercising. Those drugs always have bad effects and sometimes you don't hear about them til 3yrs later.

Then ephedra isn't for you. Coupled with a solid diet and regular exercise ephedra can help you stay motivated and lose weight a little quick, but taking it by itself you are just asking for heart problems and wasting your money.

I'll give my testimony and let you decide....

Last year, I was taking Hydroxycut pre-ephedra ban and had been on it for a pretty good while. One day I started have irregular heart beats...like 3-4 per minute for 4-5 days straight. I was scared shitless. Went to the doc and he hooked me up to an EKG and saw them but couldn't explain what it was from. they finally went away but everytime my heart "skips" a beat, it reminds me of that. Now I'm not 100% positive that it was caused by that cause around the same time frame, I was exposed to some R134A when a can failed and released right in front of me. I thought back and remember that the label on the can says that inhalation can cause irregular heart patterns or sudden death.

Was it the Hydroxycut or the Refrigerant? I'll never know. But I do know that I'll stay away from ephedra and if a can of refrigerant fails...I'm running! I just got off a bottle of ephedra free hydroxycut and did not have any issues.

I used to take a vitamin from Advocare. I never knew it had ephedra in it. I was so shakey all the time. When I forgot a dose of it (morning and evening) I would get severe headaches. I recommend not taking ephedra. I did lose weight but it wasn't worth it. I've lost more off the stuff than on it.

i took ephedra type products off and on for almost 8 years.. i liked the energy i got from it and the fact that i didnt have to do as much cardio as when i wasnt on it.. i never had health problems with it but took it exactly as it said (or less).. i did carry a chip on my shoulder back then though but thats all i noticed :) i will say, if it comes back to the shelf ill buy it again

most people who have a problem with ephedra use, typically have them from abuse. Ephedra combined with caffine and aspirin, in a same stable combination, have shown great help in fat burning, energy increase, and building of lean muscle mass.

The whole ephedra issue is a very debatable to say the very, very least. I, along with my twin brother and many of our friends took a shit load of ephedra for many years. We didn't take it for the weight loss advantages or anything like that, it was for the energy it gives you. I know for a fact I took the stuff in the form of the supplement Ripped Fuel from 1994 until they removed ephedra from the pills. Then it was on to many different products, including, at one time, a little white pill that was clearly labeled and marketed as "Pure Ephedra". The only thing you have to be careful about is your tolerance to the product. I had gotten to where I was taking up to 5 pills of Ripped Fuel per night at work. Some people didn't take as many and ther was one guy that actually took more. Start off slow and know your limits, if you don't like the way it makes you feel then stop taking it, personally I love it. On a side note: When my wife and I were going through our divorce, she tried to have me thrown in jail. She was mad that, while we were driving down 635 one day doing about 70-75mph, she pissed me off, so I reached over her and opened the door for her in case she wanted to get out right then and there. She proceeded to call the cops on me shortly after that and told them I was on drugs, i.e. ephedra.. The stupid investigator then told me it was just "legal speed". I told him what the fuck ever, call it what you want. Later

everybodies replys and experiences will be different because it affects people differently, basically if you have a healthy cardio system and in decent shape you will most likely be fine, people that have trouble with it will probably have heart trouble eventually or they were just trying to do too much while being in too bad of shape. you cant really classify it in the same category as speed, or any amphetamine really, they are much much stronger and not natural like i believe ephedrine is.

I heard the same thing. Supposedly they might lift the ban on Ephedra.
