my 97 gt has a 01 4.6 2v in it. runs great. BUT... the cooling fan will not turn on by itself and my temp gauge reads basically nothing. the computer wiring harness and coilpacks is all still 97 stuff. the 01 engine has only one place to put the temp sensors and the 97 engine had two. the one spot on top of intake manifold is jerry rigged with a T, (temp sensor for gauge and temp sensor for fan go into same T) this doesn't work worth a crap and is the reason for my problems. do i need an 01-03 computer and stuff or what? do i have to change the wiring harness if i use a 01-03 computer? PLEASE!!!! ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPREACIATED

As you have discovered, the "T" doesn't work very well. You can have your thermostat housing drilled and tapped for the other coolant sensor. You can find some info on it at www.modulardepot.com by searching the forums or tech articles. You could also buy a Bullitt intake to take care of it, it has two threaded bungs like your non PI intake did :-)
