LOL...It is funny because the police always claim their heavy bucket of bolts is "suped up" by the aid of JUST a computer chip. I've heard a police officer claiming his LS1 Camaro can outrun a GSX-R1000. LOL. I think anyone would fear an Astar over a Camaro.

a buddy of mine is a constable and he was talking about a while back, someone stole a 1000cc sportbike, (i think it was a suzuki) and the "interceptor" caught up to him cruising down 35.
I haven't seen the video, but this is how i understand it, the camaro comes up on this bike pretty quick, the guy turns back and sees the lights and hits it, they are both doing 120+ from the start, and the bike just WALKS away, like the camaro wasn't even there.
at one point, the officer is doing 160+ and the bike isn't in sight.
that's what happens when a stock LS1 runs a Literbike.

My 2000 Corvette Hardtop pulled a liter bike on the highway. Of course I was putting down close to 550RWHP to do it. 420RWHP on motor and a little spray on top of that. Now if it was my new ZX10 I think it would take a little more than what I had to keep up.

Hell Rich pulled that friend of Chris's Viper on his R6. It was too funny. The only way a car will pull on a liter bike is if it has more than 500RWHP. I have seen all these videos and most of these bike guys can not race. Put me out there and I will show them whats up.

I used to work eith a cop that drove an lS1..... He said he clocked a bike on 20 doing 120 about 1 mile ahead of him.... He said he pulled out and hit his lights when he was right behind the bike.... He said the guy nailed it and never looked back... He hit 160 in the car and never saw the bike again......

A 1000cc bike should not be losing to a 500rwhp car. Even considering the bike inferior pressure drag coefficient, the bike should pull quite easily.

You are right for the most part. I first of all was not thinking he was expecting me to hit the juice. We went from about an 80 punch. My car put down 556RWHP and 680RWTQ. The torque is pretty much right there. So I immediately pulled. It was an R1 which put down about 130-135RWHP. I am guessing an 2000-2001 model. I don't think he was in a gear that would have been desirable for racing. I know myself that if it were today's liter bikes and knowing what I know now, I would not even try it.
I know racing a viper on the highway on my 02 R1. I put bus lengths on him easily.

Look Im not planning on running from any cops. I just hear lots of cops talk trash about how bad ass they are and Iv argued that theres no way a city is gonna approve a 600+ hp car for a traffic tickets.I know some people are gonna argue with me about it and say that "Oh yeah well this city tey no about has a 500+hp car"blah blah blah.Anyway check out this link. Its an F4i racing against alot of bad ass cars. I think if an F4i is hanging with or beating these cars then the slowmaro cop cars dont have a chance. www.carsvsbikes.com

well see thats completly diffrent form your fist post. i would agree with that one. more than likely that car isnt gona stand a chance, just because they would put that kinda power ina cop car. since for the most part a lot of them wouldnt be able to handle that kinda power they would probably kill themselves or someone else. im not saying that there arnt cops out there who could just that the majority of them cant drive their crusers as it is.

I beat Kumar on the highway on my R6 as well, But Matt nearly ran me over......That 86 will flat out fly!
If the cops you are talking to state that they are "souped up" beacause they have a bigger cooling system in it, I guess they are right.
You can add a hundred HP to a crown vic if you want, then you load the damn thing down with aboou 300 pounds of equiptment (if you have a cage) and let young guys drive them all day like they stole them than they are not catching any sportbike with any amount of skills.
Most dfw agencies have a no pursuit rule with sportbikes. I only know of DPS that still chases them.
I have no experience with the camaros (sp) but would assume after they are driven for about 4 months, they are trash also.
The biggest problem that I see is that you have to take them to the city shop for repairs and they can't seem to fix anything right.

I dont know about camaro cops but when i passed a cop on 183 here in austin @ 120 he just watched me go by. But the thought that the state/gov would give any cop a 500+ HP car is just stupid. And i still would not pull over. you must remember that they cant squeez through cars like bikes can and chances are that they are sitting still which makes the chance of them getting even close to you is just beyond small. I think for the most part, when you are doing 100+ and they see you down shift and take the fuck off they know that the only thing that is going to get you is the raido and thats why you exit asap. my 2 cents :D oh yea cops<bikes ;)

Yeah the radio is fast. But once they radio another cop down the road then what? Youve got another shity handling dump truck after you.Any other car on the force isnt gonna keep up with you either. If you end up running so long that they can get the helicopters out then your screwed.

also, even if the cops had a 500hp car, if you pass them doing 120 and they are stopped, they have to do 150 or more to catch you. by the time they react and accelerate to 150, you'll be doing 160. see where this is going? :D

There is a black ls1 camaro cop car in Northlake or something of the sor that is pretty modded I believe. I dont know the exact details on it, but it is very fast. Its been modded with actual good performance parts(He has a lot of parts from thunder racing I believe), not a cooling system or shit. It was his personal car I think and he uses it as his cop car. Has all the lights and everything..
Not saying he would catch a bike, especially a liter bike, but it is fast.

If Im on a motorcycle, it doesnt matter the radio or the police force, or the chopper, I can make a straight up mockery of the police dept and I know of plenty of folks that can do the same....they simply dont have enough cars to catch a skilled rider. The chopper might sight them for a second, but hit any highway in the area, and bye bye chopper in under a few minutes. A bike could move from i20 from a town to garland in under 11 minutes, easily moving at an average speed of 170 MPH. The chopper would take about 19 minutes to reach the same spot moving at TOP SPEED which is unheard of for a chopper unless winds are non existent. Now, compare that to a police cruiser with a top speed of 124 mph, not to mention how long it takes them to get there, or a camaro, with a 160mph top speed, and we KNOW how long it takes them to get there LOL, not to mention when they have to slow to 100 for a second, and it takes another 30 to reach 160 again LOL Bye bye po po's. You have to be a fucking retard to get caught by the police on a motorcycle of any kind IMO.

I understand that you have a fast bike, but you aren't going to outrun a Bell 206/Astar's line of sight. While you are restricted to a highway, the helicopter can easily fly the faster route: a straight line. Not only that, but a helicopter pilot can see you from a long, long distance.
I am curious how a sportbike will easily move at an average speed of 170mph (which is about 190 indicated) for 11minutes on the street...

NOT MY FAST BIKE, ANY FAST BIKE. 190mph indicated is 170? LOL Thanks speedocalibrator man. Ive sustained 200MPH on my speedo on a piped busa for minutes straight, and its faster than 170 MPH :) Lets say your in arlington at i 20 and cooper. Haul ass down 20 east until your in garland. There is only ONE direction to go and the chopper cant cut across anything. Lets say you have 30 miles to go. The chopper isnt flying faster than 110MPH PERIOD on a NON windy day. Your going 170MPH, lets just say 160 for shits and grins....On the bike your going to be covering 2.7 miles per minute at 160mph, about 2.9 at 170. The chopper can only cover 1.8 miles per minute at TOP SPEED! Its gonna take you 11.1 minutes at 160 vs. 16.3 minutes in the chopper! If you kept going by the time the chopper reached the spot you would be another 14.4 miles ahead of them. I have gone way faster than 160mph, and it doesnt take but 10 secs to get there from 0.....which is way more than I can say for any chopper or police car. I-20 does not connect Arlington and Garland in a straight line. Even if your bike could outrun a Jetranger in pure speed, the helicopter can see you for many, many miles. The whole time, more units will be converging on your location. Whereas you will have to slow down for traffic (even Ghostrider will have to slow down at times), the helicopter will be able to maintain top speed. You wouldn't even know the poilce helicopter has spotted you. I am not sure if DPD has gotten an Astar yet. The Astar can fly 155-160knots. Many law enforcement agencies use this helicopter.

The Astar is a very common police/civilian helicopter. Fort Worth doesn't have one. The Astar DOES hit 155-160knots. A guy on foot won't lose a police helicopter. The police helicopters don't fly 20 feet over the ground like on "Gone in 60 Seconds". They can see EVERYTHING.

That might be true. DFW's law enforcement agencies are somewhat deficient when it comes to helicopters. Los Angeles, however, has their shit in gear. If someone runs in LA, there is a good chance you are getting caught.

I think the same for the most part. Today I was doing a wheelie down congress ave and some undercover apd in a green tahoe followed me in to the parking garage
and 2 cops in plain clothes ran up on me and told me to take a seat while they call some other units. Fucking sucked i had 5 cops around me and then to make things worse a lawyer i work with saw all this shit. but on the bright side of things i got off with no insurance, no motorcycle DL, expried tags. :o

Just an FYI, 155-160 knots is not anywhere close to 155-160 mph. Aircraft speed that you normally read is measured in airspeed not mph.
