Late Model GT Track G2G

Trying to guage interest on a track G2G for late model GT's. Propellerhead and Ceyko have expressed interest.. Anone else? Xavren maybe?

If so what Track and night would you prefer? Which would not work at all? I figured it would be best just to do it at a test and tune day. Kennedale has Wednesday, Denton has Friday night and Sunday afternoon..

I think Denton on a Sunday might be best because of the drive some would have to make on a weeknight.

So how 'bout it? I'm anxious to get on a track and think it would be fun with some similarly matched cars.. Meet a few new people, take some photos..

Denton on a Sunday afternoon sounds good. That way we're not trying to hurry to catch the last hour of daylight.

Hey, there is a group of us going to Denton Friday night for some TnT before the shoot-out next weekend.

Look for 3 mach 1's (black, blue and red) set up by HPP and the fuel shack. I'm trying for a 7.6's (maybe a 7.5 depending on the track and DA), another is going for low 6's and the other is in the 7.8 range. It ought to be fun!

I can't make Sunday, I have a Honey do list :mad: But I am looking at friday at Denton. I'll be in Shadow Grey 04. I might be flying solo or w/a buddy. do you all plan on meeting somewhere I live in Aubrey 0ff 380.

We'll be there. I'm going to try and be there at 7pm and the others will be rolling in a little later.

If I get there before HPP, then I'll set up on the track side of the pits by the time board.

No denton dragway. Just take 35 north until you get to Sanger there will be a Loves truck stop to the right take the exit right after, once you exit you will come down a steep hill you will see the lights right away.

Yeah.. I'm right in the middle of Denton and Kennedale so I've got a 30 - 45 min drive either way. I may be up for Kennedale next Wed..

If it was a 1/4 mile track, I'd go for sure. But who knows, I may get an urge to race after work and show up.

I have always been curious as to why they don't have more 1/4 tracks around, not an expert on the details on building a track, anyone know

Yeah that was me. I got there late and wanted to get started racing. You should have stopped by.

How did y'all run last night? My 2 step was messing up and wouldn't disengage so I had to switch to the street tune for the night.

Oh well. I might try Sunday for a couple of hours once the two step is tweaked.

I did not run last night my tires are for shit, just hung out had few beers and enjoyed the evening! :cool:

Yeah, I was out there. I saw a couple of Mach's (one red, one white) but don't recall a black one. I may stop up there for a while tomorrow to try out this new shifter. What time do you think you'll be up there?

There was a write up on it in the June 5.0 Mustang, Tech Inspection section (second from last page) which is what prompted me to get it. I ordered it Thursday morning and it came Friday evening for an extra $12. I got the red "cruiser" handle which is still quite short. The cool thing is that you can rotate it towards yourself so the position is similar to my stock shifter.
