my 97 GT (13.8 @102-- stock PI 4.6 2v with some bolt ons :) has always kinda hung in the rpm's in between shifts, but ever since i touched a SCT custom tune it has been agravating the crap outta me! before i sent the sct tuner back to the guy that made the tunes it would idle UP by itself when i pushed in on the clutch and it would stay at 3500+ now it still hangs in the rpm's in between shifts at 2-3000 rpm.i know its the idle air control valve but what the heck? what is so hard about getting it to act NATURAL when i let off the gas? it doesn't really do it on stock tune but it runs crappy. is it just some computer settings that can be easily changed or what????

Hard stop on the throttle body is miss adjusted or it is worn out, make sure IAC is at least 35% at idle when warm. Also, make sure you T/P reads C/T (closed throttle) when it is closed, not P/T (part throttle). You will need a good scan tool, ngs or wds to do this. Good luck

i don't think its the hard stop cause the TB in a new 75mm and changing the car's tune alters the way the iac acts. ngs or wds?? is that software or something? i talked to some guy with a wideband tuner or something like that. will that work?
