Went To The Track Fri. Busted Off A 6.28 On M/t Drag Radials
The Car Mph Only 106 But I Think The Car Is Now Leaning Out On The Top Due To It Hooking Up, All Night Long The Car Was Running Some Bad Ass Wheelie's 1st & 2nd I Don't Think I'll Ever Go Back To Slicks
Those M/t Drag Radials Are The Shit!!!!!!
I Didn't Get Any Time Slips Since The Printer Was Broken Out At Sanger
But The Car Has To Be 60ft. Around 1.38 To 1.40
Look At The Mph To The Pass, Hell My Car Always Has A Bad Ass Mph
Thanks To Manny & Jeremy For Tuning The Suspension

I'm running the 275 60's with a 3.55 gear. Shifting at 6200, they work great. I just can't leave on much boost. Need a wider tire!!

go with a 275/60/15 they should fit, go with a 355 or 3.27 it would be a good load for the turbo, hey man if you get a set of those m/t drag radial you should be able to launch at full boost, I was leaving on around 10-15lb & they hooked like a bitch

I can leave on about 5psi and not spin the 275's! The best 60' I've gone is a 1.54, but then as soon as the boost hit 12psi, it blew the tire off!!
Maybe the 325's will hook better!!

spankustang you need to try a set of 3.27 out back when you get your hands on some m/t drag radial, it should hook. do you have a anti-rollbar? that is the secret
it shouldn't bog for you, you seem to have a lot of
power to run that et with that mph, maybe try some 325/50/15 they are taller than a bfg dr, about 1/2 to 3/4 taller, you want a taller tire for the sidewall

That is all I could leave on as well with the same tire. I just recently switched to the 325/50's and dead hooked on 12 psi launch. I started at 8, then 10, then 12, each time the car hooked with no spinning. Did not get to make a 4th pass was going to be launching on 14-15.
Best 60 on 275/60 - 1.65
Best 60 on 325/50 - 1.50
I think it will 60 a easy 1.45 with more boost on the launch. BTW, the car weighs 3620 with driver.

What was the launch RPM on those runs? What tranny are you using?

Lentech AOD with Transbrake. 3200 stall. The 12 psi launch was at about 3500 or so.

OK thanks. Are the radials working better than slicks or et streets? I am having problems getting my car to go/launch lately after some upgrades. I am running a jerico 4 spd. w/ a mcloud soft- loc clutch that has adj. base pressure. Its designd to work like a converter and slip off the line. Problem is that if the base pressure is too low then the clutch slips all the way down the track and never locks up. If it is too high then it spins all the way. I use to see 7 psi @ launch but now I see about 14. At 4-5k and 7psi the car would bog really bad. Maybe now I could tighten the clutch up real tight and launch at around 4k? You think w/ 12-14 psi the car would lose the bog? Right now I am going by what the clutch builder says but think he may be wrong. He says to launch @ 7k w/ the base super low (setting 2-3 in a 10 setting system) so that the clucth slips but has enough RPM to lock up. This has not seemed to work. The car is only pulling a 1.7 60' on slicks and trapping @ 100 mph roughly b/c of clutch slippage. I use to pull 1.4's- 1.5's and trap @ 112 leaving on 7 psi and 5500 rpm. Basically the set-up is working like shit! Give me some input...I think what I have been told to do is all wrong. You think the diff. of 5-7 psi on the line will keep the car from bogging? Sorry so long  I think I am the only turbo car that leaves w/ that many RPM's :D

the radials are working better for me than slicks, what is your rear suspension setup, pinion angle, anti-rollbar, so on!! what tire & size, call HPPRACING they can hook you up & get your car launching.

Rear suspension is hal adj. shocks, stock springs, wolf anti roll bar and control arms. Pinon angle was set by wolf, don't know the exact degree  Rear tires are: M/T ET streets: 28 x 12.5 x 15. ET Drag: 28 x 10.5. Best 60' to date is a 1.48 but not for a long time. 60's,Et, and trap have progressively got worse  Thanks for all the info. Sorry to hijack the thread. Your car is very vey impressive BTW-WOW!

My best 60' came leaving at 3950rpm on the 2step, but then blew the tires off!! The only way I can leave on radials consistantly is at 3700!
