* Monday, April 4, 2005 ¨C On the behalf of the supporting car clubs
and DFWCC, we apologize for any miscommunication in regard to Hooters
or Sonic. We outgrew Costco's lot and were asked to leave. For those
who were not informed about the change in location, we spoke with
Hooters and Sonic to have a place for you all to eat while supporting
DFWCC, sponsors, and supporters.
** Some of the individuals whom met at Hooters and Sonic suffered from
a mistake made by others that started an illegal gathering at Minyards
in Arlington. That night the Arlington Police Department received
complaints and then shut down the Minyards gathering. From the
information provided, the officers were on alert the rest of the
night.
¡ú We encourage all car enthusiasts to promote legal gatherings to
prevent hassles in the future. DFWCC pay police officers to stay on
the property wherever we meet to prevent those types of hassles. The
only time you will get harassed is when you break a guideline set
forth by DFWCC or supporters. (All attendees agree to the guidelines
stated on website.) Some additional guidelines:
NO DOGS, NO DRUGS, NO BURNOUTS, NO SPEEDING, NO LOUD MUSIC

Youe know there is a Sams' club right and Wal-Mart Basicly in the same parking lot over in Grapvine. The Sams clup parking lot could easly hold 400 cars maybe 600.
I wouldn't mind driving to that. :)
Their is also Best Buy and Acadamy right across the street from that.
Might want to look someplace in North richland hills or Irving to.
Just some ideas...
If I think of anything els I will let you know.

circuit city closed down their old location a year ago and has a abanded parking lot right off 183 and bedford euless.
also, the old best buy building off 820 and grapevine hwy is also closed and has a EVEN LARGER parking lot with a hooters right next door.
just something to think about. both of these locations are off major freeways and have easy access and departure points with no traffic because the the parking lots for that place house a business that has been closed.

the lot that's behind hooters. the company I work for ownes those 2 buildings. It's about time they move to the west side of Ft. Worth. now I don't have to drive 40 miles for a gtg.

Dan is in charge of DFWCC which is an organazation that was formed for different clubs like mine to have a location to hang out with.. We all give our input and time to make each get together a success.. DFWModified which is my club will support DFWCC as I'm part of DFWCC board.. The problem that most people don't know is there is lots of location all over DFW area.. But they don't want Us, the liability or the crowd.. All our GTG are legal with all permits and security paid that are asked by each city.. We then need the garenty from the property managment to have the GTG there.. We don't mind putting the GTG in a more central location.. If you know of a place please let us know.. But we need all the numbers to the City Local police (not 911) & Property managment of the location as well as the on site manager of the location.. If you have more questions please let us know.. Later

All hooters ive seen allow car events or anything that has to do with a motor. Pick a different hooters there is a bunch of them around DFW.

Not all Hooters will allow us.. The deal is, If Hooter thinks there going to get busniess then it's okay.. But if we're just going to be Loitering and not buy anything then it's a problem.. When we organize these meet we have to assume people are going to be loitering and not buying.. The Hooters in Ft. Worth is aware of this.. And thats the reason we're making this the new hang out at this time.. We are trying to find a closer location for everyone.. But every time we find a good location the property management tell us no.. It's easy to start a GTG, it's hard to make a legal GTG.. Check with your local law and you'll see how difficult it really is.. Thanks

I know ive seen tons of GTG fail quickly. I was just throwing out a suggestion. It always seem hooters caters to events like that. Half of all the cars shows anywhere in the DFW happen at a hooters.

OMFG! It was a NOPI convention.
If you're into neon lights all over your car...
If you're into strobe lights flashing all over...
If you're into seeing how many LCD screen you can fit...
If you're into spray painting your hood for carbon fiber hood look...
If you're into stereo systems that cost more than your car...
If you're into fart cans that can fit your mamma's thigh...
If you wear baggy clothes and wear a baseball hat with the bill to the side...
If you're into big stickerz on your car that uses Z's in place of S's...
... then that meet was for you.
I walked around for 10 minutes, then left.

I thought it sucked. Costco turnouts were way better. The dfwcc staff was bugging the mobile dyno owner for a 50 dollar donation. There were only 3 cars and 2 bikes that dynoed. The guy made a trip from gainesville and made 280 bucks and there asking for 50 bucks. Need to have some gathering in arlington again or someplace that is more centralized and easy for everyone.
Wont be in attendance neither the mobile dyno.
