DVD Drive Ratings/Reviews

I just recently found out that my DVD-rom doesn't work well with DVD Shrink and I'd like to buy a new one. I want to do a little research before hand and make sure not only that the drive I'm buying is fast, but works good for ripping movies, not just playing them. So if there's a good DVD backup guru website, someone please redirect me. If anyone has any suggestions on good drive brands I'd like to know that too.

Yeah I just realized something was up when I read about someone complaining with my drive they have to use DVD decrypter everytime and thats what I have to do...I just thought it was normal. For now I'm ripping from my burner instead. Its the ASUS e616p2...I've read that it doesn't work good with DVD Shrink and I also read that it has some type of built in copy protection...so any DVD you try, you have to use DVD decrypter.
