Can anyone fix a flat panal monitor??

I have a HP flat panal monitor that got surged in a power outage. Does anyone know anything about them that might be able to fix it?? Best buy wanted to charge over $500 to fix it. Thanks in advance.

I think I can buy a broken one off of ebay for parts. I found a few that have broken screens but power up. I'm pretty sure my problem is in the powering part. If anyone can help, I will pay you.

Man prices have come down so far on Flat Panels, why don't you just buy a new one?

I already did. But I was wanting to try and fix it for my spare computer I have.
