My San Andreas game disc was scratched by my daughter and I was able to buff out all the little scratches, but this one deep one. Is there something I can fill in the scratch with to make it readable again. I can put the disc in and it will load the whole prologue. When the game starts(loading from my memory card),I'm in one of my houses that I bought in Venturas. As soon as I go to step outside, I get disc read error. I was wonder if the scratch is throwing of the reader. I dont think the info on the disc is scratched, but I really dont know that for sure. I just think that the reader is geting fouled by that scratch and if I fill it with something transparent, it may play again. Any help would be great.

Toothpaste usually works for cd's, not sure if it'll work as well on dvd's. Also not sure how deep the scratch is, as it works best on small surface scratches, but not so well on deep ones.

didn't somebody just have a thread about something like this? putting peanut butter on it and wiping it off w/ a coffee filter?

Its deep enough to not be able to be taken out with a buffer at 1500rpm. I thought about spraying some clear on it at work and see if it fills in the scratch.
