I'm going to 2 airshows for work. One being this weekend in Corpus and from there we are going straight to Lakeland, FL for Sun and Fun. The entire time I'm there, I'll be standing outside, doing misc. work on planes or just talking to people about them. More than likely, I won't be near or gym or have any energy left to run at night.

For the past 2 months I've been trying my best to lean up a bit, by working out hard and running also. I have seen gains in muscle but not really any losses in fat. So since this week I probably won't be able to do much activity, would it be a good time to maybe do a low carb diet? I'm not much into diets that cut out a food group, but this seems like a good time to maybe lose some fat without doing much activity.

Thoughts?

do not cut out carbs- you need them for your hard days. just cut back on CALORIES

I agree to a point, but the majority of those calories should be coming from carbs and fats. This week is the perfect time to be ultra conscious of your every food decision. order everything sans cheese/fatty dressings/butter/sugar/fried. Try to eat as many whole foods ans possible. If you can do that for a solid week with lack of exercise as your impetus, some of those habits will certainly trickle over when you get back into the gym.

I bet your losing fat but not in the places you really want to "stomach"! The fat you are loosing is making your muscles look larger. I don't think 2 months time is significant enough to really see muscle growth.
