Can Xbox games be copied? I see a lot of people discussing PS2 games but not Xbox.

Yes they can be copied and ripped but you shouldn't unless you own them!

Of course!
Very easy to do, yo have to FTP the xbox to the pc with a program like flash fxp, or craxtion4, create an xiso with qwix/crax4 and burn the backup with nero or decrypter.

O.K. most of what you just said is FRENCH to me. I have NERO and Decrypter, I also have a capture card installed on my pc. Is this what I need to do this or do I need something else? I appreciate the info.
Let me back up, first off your xbox must be modded to play backed up games, if its not, give it up, backups won't work. Next you will need to download either Flash fxp or Craxtion4, both programs are free to Download, but Flash fxp is free for 30days. Next you will have to establish a connection from the pc to the xbox. Either ethernet thru the router or straight with a crossover cable.
Craxtion 4 will allow you to rip straight from the xbox dvd drive, however i find this to be buggy on some games. What i do is install the game on the xbox HD, verify that its working correctly and use Flash FXP to FTP the game to a folder on my PC. I then use Qwix 1.01 to create an XISO. I use Decrypter to burn games altho Nero works just as well. Also burn at either 1 or 2x to avoid burn errors, if you have the extra time, do it at 1x. Almost everyone agrees that DVD-r's work best.
Most noobs find establishing the connection the hardest part, i did also. Its really easy in hind sight, look on the xbox and find its IP address, you will have to change your LAN settings/Subnet mask to that Addy. For some helpful guides, xbox scene or afterdawn forums has a couple good guides.
Sounds a little complicated but its easy..... don't play into those Bullshit wonder programs like Game copy, this is the only way to "backup" xbox games. <--100+

all i did was a softmod, which you never even had to crack the box open. I just got done playing doom 3 which i downloaded. The way I can burn games is like JimD said, FTP them over. Kinda wish i would have went with a chip though, but this was cheaper

Can I pick all this up from Fry's?
Now we don't have a Fry's in Shreveport, but i seriously doubt it....ordered mine off the web. Do a search for xbox mods, there are several to choose from to suit your needs as well as solderless chips, etc.
