yeah, what you dont see is people posting up the majority of times in the mid high 9's. just go out to kdale sometime, and write down the times and you will see how slow MOST of these cars are.

but alot of it is driver error, and thats why some people in ls1's run 9's as well.

Probably has a stock converter. W/O that, an auto, any auto, is crap. But 8.9 w/ a LS1 even with a stock TC is stupid. hahahahahahaha

My wife was running 8.3 w/ headers, lid and cutout, full weight, stock stall. hahahahaha

I ran a mid 9 stock with a 2.4 '60 so if I ever get to accumulate any seat time in the damn thing with new DR's it will run real good.

With a Performer intake, LT's, O/R H, 255 pump, small shot it went 13.3 @ 105.5 1.94 '60. Even after I had blew it up once that night. But I feel once I get a new set of tires and a new clutch it should run high 12's in the same trim.

BTW it's a full weight coupe with nothing gutted out.

My 90 coupe (my first mustang back in '97) with only a h-pipe and mufflers on slicks ran 8.7's all day long and on street tires 8.9's. It still had smog equip., ac, ps, pw, factory airbox and silencer, no pullies or even gears. That was leaving on the factory rev limiter.

Yeah, your car is just 60' ing badly. That's what's holding you back.

That coupe is clean BTW. :)

It's not a coupe, but my 88 LX hatch went 8.63 @83 with a spinning 1.89 60' Saturday. It has mass air conv, tfs #1 cam, typhoon intake, crappy 93 Cobra ECM and MAF, no P/S, and 4.30's. No weight reduction, except the no PS. Only suspension mods are Koni adjustable struts up front.

I forgot to add the longtubes, xpipe, and spintech's with tailpipes.

I know your car is faster....I just think its driver error, you don't have traction problems with all that weight in the back, speakers, and what not. Nice times BTW.
