I just picked up an Asus A8N SLI board, Athlon64 3000+, and a shiny new x800, new power supply and hard drive.
I don't get any post, all fans/leds respond correctly, but no computage.
anybody else have similar problems with new hardware?

sorry but this doesn't help your problem, but I was wondering why an A8N SLI and an X800?
Why no 6800GT or Ultra?

Are you using a regular ATX power supply or the new ATX 2.0?

I got a good deal on the x800, i could have got a 6600gt "OC" or this card, I think the ati was a better choice, although, i won't be running SLI, EVER.
I'm using a BIG enermax 550, with a 24pin atx main power adapter, (as opposed to the standard 20 pin mobo connector).
no post, nothing. I wish P4 had a decent bang for the buck setup right now.

I'd call it a fugged mobo. If you power is getting to the drives and lights and stuff...likely the PSU is good.

yeah, i'm just pissed because it's a 250$ motherboard that i was VERY careful with, stay grounded, keep everything away from static, etc.
is this athlon64 shit just being ultra fragile, or what?

No, it's not the A64 part.
It's the mobo, i know at least 3 people that have had that board crap out on them.
