Well the tire thing worked, just had to turn off the damn traction system and active handling and it kept flashing up codes constantly, nothing the reset button didn't cure. Took forever though and I know I was confusing some people when staging because I had to clear codes every time I started the car.
Anyways, the BFGs really helped out, and the weather was about 45-50, so I am sure that helped too. I ran a 12.92 @ 107 off the bat with a 8.42 @ 86, 1.95 60 foot, this was straight from Allen where my buddy lives and we got the tires at, didn't turn the motor off once, all the way through the lanes. Starting temp was 220, and it ended at about 215, but I am sure it wasn't happy.
So since it was running 110 in the upper 70 degree range last time it was at the track, I was thinking the tires were pulling timing just like the GT40 story in the new MM&FF. I let the car cool off for about an hour, maybe a little longer, push it all the way to the bridge, and attempt to go again.
Did a smaller burn out, quiet weak actualy thinking since it ran it's best 60' I didn't need much of a smoke fest. OOPS. It spun fairly bad, and went a 2.06 60', 8.24 @ 89, and a 12.68 @ 111.2. Thats a lil better...
Let it cool, do larger burn out, next pass was a
1.94
8.13 @ 89.5
12.57 @ 111.4
So needless to say I am getting happy with this damn thing, running fairly consistent and getting faster every run. I see a sweet NSX, and talk to him a bit, and he asks me to run, so we line em up. I do a huge burn out, and try to stall it to 2K. Well that shit didn't work, it pushed right through the lights, where as on the previous run it started to spin the tires lightly and held. I trip the lights somehow and foul up the race, but we left about the same time, cause I redlighted and waited for him to take the jump, ala street racing. :o I held him by about a car all the way down the track, that lil bitch ran pretty good! No time slips since I redlighted or something, they didn't start us in time.
He asks what happened and if I wanted to run again, so I say sure. We stage, and I try to stall it up again, but this time my left foot is on the floor to keep it from creeping. We take off, and I bust his ass pretty good. I got my best 60' and best 1/8th, but it was on like a 10 minute cool down, so I didn't get my best E/T. Woulda been about a high 12.4 if it wasn't running hot dammit, as it only went 12.62 @ 110.5, 1.92 60 foot, 8.12 @ 88.9. Aw well, still pretty happy with a 100% stock car with tires.
Can't wait to be able to buy it up and mod it, a converter and exhaust is gonna make this thing a nice little sleeper...
I also ran my friend's 350Z. Z4 Jen if anyone saw the plates, ran it's best time EVER, and almost broke into the 13s. It's best last week was a 144 last week with a different friend driving @ 96, and the FIRST time ever in a 350Z I ran a 14.0 @ 100 with a 2.13 short... The track got a lil worse and her street 18" wouldn't hold down and it only went 14.2s after that, but still that thing is a blast! I even ran a so called bad ass 05 GT at the end, and beat him with a 14.21 to a 14.4... he NEVER pulled on me all the way down the track, we were almost dead even after the 1/8th, with the nod to the Z in power to weight... hahahaha damn GTs.

That was you? I hope you weren't spraying cause I was creeping on the top end. I forgot it was instant green and you were past the 60' before I moved... that was also on the 107 mph pass, the car felt like a slug.
I've got a Stang at the house if you want a rematch... It leaves a little harder. ;)
edit, I got beat twice by a girl, the second time was from my friend Jes, I had a 1.85 reatcion time trying to stall it up before I left. That was my best run though, so I wanted to make sure I had a good launch, and didn't care about losing the race, kinda like TrueStreet. :o
