Interesting - Greg's car (slowbrick) has gone 6.62@105.xx w/1.52 60'. His motor consists of a out of the crate 514 which is supposed to have 599 HP. On the spray (175 shot) it has gone 5.86@117 w/ 1.35 60ft..
He is putting the new motor in it this week out of his truck - it went 5.99@115 w/1.30 60' ---- in a 3700 lb truck !!
Keep us posted when you spray it!

Well my setup is a .060 460.. Stock crank, eagle "sir" rods, Jon Kaase SCJ aluminum heads(2.25 intake valve and better springs and retainers than the "base" head) , pretty healthy doug herbert roller , victor intake and a worked hp series holley that flows around 1000 cfm.. 3.73 gear, c 6 (boat anchor weight wise..lol) Dynamic 9 inch nitrous converter.. 11.5 to 1 compression (flat top piston)

Couldn't use the dominator it was borrowed but it ran like azz  so i took it off and put my carb back on...

Found some rockers a little loose and put a fresh set of plugs in.. Trying to decide if i wanna hall azz and go again tonight..

What broke on the oil pump??? Just curious so as to know what to look for..

What did you car sixty on motor.. I am happy with my c6.. I built it myself.. extra clutches, servo, apply lever, reverse manual valve body.. etc.. Just need some sixty foot. IT FLAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't improve on my et on Saturday.. Got a little stumbling problem i got to figure out.. got there late and didn't get but 3 passes ..

Nothing actually contacted the oil pump that we could find. A good friend of mine who has a dragster that was once powered by a BBF said he broke "a few" of them in the exact same manor we did.. His answer was simply put another one on it and keep an eye on it because it will happen again.

The pump just broke the bottom off of it like it got hit with a hammer from the side.. The car has 60'd as good as 1.49 on motor and 1.34 on the bottle.

I know a friend has had problems braking oil pumps on a bbc due to tire shake in a dragster.. Just never heard of it on a ford?? But that don't mean it don't happen..lol

Ain't nothing cheap for a bbf...LOL I have been having a stumle problem due to my ultra tight converter.. I think i have fixed it going to go tonight and see if i can improve my et  I won't have the spray on mine or my cage certified by fun ford but maybe i will run the brackets there with it.. Just depends on the $$$ right now........ Keep me posted on yours as well i am contemplating a swap to a glide or getting this converter loosened and running this one until i can piece me together a glide setup..

I just can't believe that the valve in the oil pump is causing the problem on the brand new pump. It sure would suck to have to pull the motor back out for that..but oh well. That's racin'!

With both my old motor and my "new" motor my oil pressure would get as low as 40 lbs going thru the traps.. Probably needs a high volume but i did not want to drain the pain with its relatively small capacity.. I worried about it a good bit but when i freshened it before i put it back in the last time my bearings ALL looked like you just took them out of a box!!! So i put 20-50 royal purple in and it helped a little this time and ain't worrying about it anymore..lol Actually the oil pressure is great until you stand on it and then it falls back (not jumpy or anything ) I figure its due to the rather "loose" clearances i have it set up at..

Keep me posted.. I have mine apart now going to send converter back and get it loosened WAY up...
