Maybe you are pregnant. I don't know why your belly would be swollen. You might want to see a doctor because it could be something that has nothing to do with you working out.

im a member of the V club. im not prego. its like im building up muscle. just like after you work out, everything is all pumped up and ripped. its like my stomach is doing the same thing when in fact what im trying accomplish is the exact opposite. the only thing i would need to go to the doctor about is my addiction to the gym.

Why are you working out so long?

well, i do alot of light weights with more reps. the gym is so damned crouded that i spend 45% of that time standing, stretching or lifting dumb bells. Everytime I hit my abs, I swear it takes at least a day of unactivity for it to go down. The trainors told me its just my muscels but dddaayyyuummm...

A strong set of abs will protrude a little bit, and more in some people due to genetics. People all the time mention crunches and sit-ups to people trying to slim up, and that can actually have quite the opposite effect that they are looking for until the body fat starts coming off.

So let me get this straight, you're a virgin that has a strong stomach and works out daily?

Will you marry me? lol

do you pay your trainers by the hour? You are working out way too long. you need less routine. Allot less. I think it's funny about trainers, that 90% of them don't know shit. My cousin is a big wig for 24hour fitness and that is straight from his mouth.

you have the classic signs of an overtrained body. lack of appetite and sleep. you really need to cut back girl.

if your body was truly getting a good workout, then your muscles would be starving for food, hence, you would be hungry.

in the case of working out, less is more. try less routine and i bet you that you will see more results.

how often are you working your abs and how hard? abs are like any other muscle. you have to give them ample rcovery time and the proper nutrients.

your protruding stomach could also be a sign of muscle atrophy.

for shits and giggles, you should take your routine to a whole nother gym, and talk to another trainer and get a second, and third opinion. Make sure you talk to a trainer, not a membership sales rep. They'll tell you anything you wanna hear. lol

Good luck.

the only thing i would need to go to the doctor about is my addiction to the gym.

again, less is more. try it out, and I bet you will get super fast results you are looking for. plus, it'll give you more time to chase boys with your hot new bod. lol

hahahha thanks so much guys. the trainers dont charge me. not to sound too confident but they help me out because they know how i can look in the end of it all. im like thier project. each of them have different opinions. i work out too much, you are right but im terribly afraid that i will loose the appetite for the bangin body i want so much. i work on my stomach at the end of almost every work out while im stretching. i use the big orange ball :) how do i slim up and not work my stomach? im alittle confused :(

Quit doing so much ab work. Every other day is plenty to maintain tight abs, and you want muslce tone, not size so do higher reps and cut a few sets out. Genetics will be the number one factor on how you will end up looking, I'd need to see specifically what kind of "bulge that you are talking about to know which way to go with it. It doesn't sound like a case of bodyfat that can be trimmed away, you may just need to cut back on the cruches and be happy with what god gave you.

We've all got bodyparts that we'd like to change (mine's my wide waist, no matter how lean I get I'll never fit into a 30 inch waist), but there's very little you can do to fight genetics.

you can't pick an area, like the stomach, and work the stomach, to lose weight just around the stomach.

The body doesn't let you pick and choose where you lose fat. Actually you might be getting bigger around the midsection, because you are working the abs too much.

As for 24 hour "trainers", I agree, they are retarded. They know dick about fitness, other than passing the stupid test, that anyone can pass, after two hours of reading.

You definately work out too much. Wanna slim up, more cardio, less calories. Simple as that. Even Aaron will tell you that, but he won't do the cardio.... PUSSY!

if you are wanting to be slim, eat better and drink more water.

if you want a six pack, work your abs, but dont exhaust them. I work mine once, sometimes twice a week and have fantastic results.

also, don't just use that orange ball. do a different ab exercise every time you work them.

There's only one trainer at my 24-Hour that's even in good shape, and I've seen a couple that are down right fat. I know that anyone can learn about the body and how it reacts to diet and exercise, but real-world experience is more important IMO. I don't want advice from someone that can't give me experience based opinions, I want somebody who's already been where I want to go. Not to mention that it's hard to get motivated by someone that can't motivate themselves.

so you are wanting to compete?

because I have never heard of any trainer doing anything for free. I'm not calling you a liar or anything like that, but I just don't get it.

If you are wanting to compete, I recommend it. It is allot of fun, but lots and lots of hard work. Good luck.

i work out at 24 hour and can vouch for the fatty trainers. There is one trainer at my gym that is in shape nd he competes. As a matter of fact, Spike TV did a special on him a few weeks back.

back when I went to 24 hour fitness most of the trainers were overweight, there were maybe two or three that actually looked like they worked out, and it just so happened that those were the only trainers I ever saw working out there when they weren't on shift.

Guy trainers always give free sessions for chicks, in hopes of getting laid.

It's all the game they have

Cute girls get "free" stuff all the time, they are just looking for an excuse to spend time with her,. That happens everywhere, not just the gym.

the thing is with most trainers, is that it is hard to be in the gym all day working, then get off work and stay at the gym to workout. Most people don't have that kind of dedication.

I spoke with one of the trainers at 24hr and asked them what it takes to be a trainer there (I was asking for my bro-in-law who needs something to do). They told me you just had to take a 4 hour course, pass an easy test, and pay $400.

I'm sure that there is plenty that I can learn in that class, but it will never replace the real-life experience. Sometimes I see the activities that the trainers have people doing and think that they just invent complicated things to make the trainee feel like they could never come up with it on their own. That way they keep paying a trainer.

I'm not saying that all trainers are bad, I'm just saying that being certified doesn't mean that you know how to train.

no the problem with most trainers, is it's just a job to them. They aren't really serious about fitness at all.

My favorite trainer that shouldn't be a trainer is at 190/Old Denton. She's about 5'2, 150ish, her ass is the size of VW Beetle. And I see her helping people all the time, and it cracks me up. If I'm gonna have a trainer, it's gonna be someone who is in better shape than what I want to be.

alright. i dont really have a buldge.. but i want to have the stomach of jessica beil... thats hard to accomplish.... i have NO desire to compete... oohh no just want to knock some guys socks off one day... :) i wish we didnt have to go this on the internet but this will have to do. the trainers always help me out and give me all kind of advice. they dont charge me because they know im not going to pay them for what they already give me. they can try whatever they want but they dont get the key. ive slimmed up but theres like a little ring around my belly button of fat... well not fat.. jsut skin that i wish would go away. my mom used to have a TIGHT body when she worked out 4-5 times a week. thats all i want.... i want my future husband to loose his damn mind! ::headbang:: lol

You aren't Jessica Beil, and therefore will never have her stomach, but you can certainly lean up and tone what you have to make it the best tummy it can be. All the hard work in the world can't fight genetics, so be realistic about your goals.

There are also alot of other ways to blow a future hubby's mind. Believe it or not a flat stomach is low on the totem pole when you are talking about forever. ;) Don't ge me wrong, I too want to marry a girl that takes care of herself, but attitude and how she treats me will go ALOT further in making me want to marry someone.

i totally understand but now that ive got my stuff together in my head. i want to look how i want to look, dress how i want to dress. And if I get the "jaw drop" then I know im doing a good job. Im more or less doing it for myself. What girl doesnt feel good when people run into stuff looking? or guy for that matter..... i want someone as tight and defined as her stomach. I just think shes actually realistic

Having a tight stomach and low bodyfat is very realistic, how closely you resemble Jennifer relies solely on genetics though.

my mom was a model... slender. but im taller and thinner then she was. although i have shapely hips and small waist. its alot harder for me to visualize my body tighter because im curvey. ggrrrrrr... not sounding conceided but youd just have to see it to understand what im saying lol.
