Not really for sure, but sometimes my net is really fucking slow. Just like it was about 5 mins ago. Heck now its flying  really weird, same thing goes on when I play X-box online, one game working really good and then the next its lagging like a son of a bitch. Do yall think this could be a modem problem or is it directly towars Charter? I know its not the computer cause when I play x-box Live I hook it directly to the modem (no router) and it still lagged. So that tells me its could be the cables running to the modem, the modem or its Charter.
any suggestions, calling Charter in the morning. Should I tell them I hook the X-box up to it? Not for sure on what they would say.

Cable internet can be affected by bandwith usage of people in your area, or you may have some spy ware/ad ware that is slowing down your connection. Download AdAware SE and run it, also you can go to www.dslreports.com and run their Speed Test when it's running slow and see if you can track it down that way.

I have 2 different spy ware programs and run them all the time. Whats getting me is that the X-box live is running slow. That tells me it has something to do with charter or the modem.
