I have a moddifed crystal clear xbox. It contains the 2.6 xecuter chip, 250 gig westerdigital hard drive. It contains some games and movies on the hard drive, the movies troy, saw, and some others i cant think about at this moment. The games are underground 2, burnout 3, driver3, starwars battle front, halo2, hitman contacts, and some others i cant think of. i have a few controlers that will go with it, Also has a s. video jack and all the original cords. ive done all the work my self and spent more then 600 on it, including the console. Ill be taking offers till i can come up with a price.

Also i forgot to mention that it has an upgraded dvd drive.

how hard it is to hook up a hard drive and the chip to the x boxes also is there a guide out there
i am very interested in doing this

You can get the case from different web sites just look it up as for info on how to do everything just go to xboxscene.com. It has instructions on how to do it. Ive done 20 xbox my self. Im willing to do it for a few extra dollars if you supply the xbox, and the stuff.

what does the chip do, and can it be used online or will you get kicked off xbox live for using it

the chip is used to go in to the bios of the xbox, if you turn the chip off then you can use xbox live.

yes, you can you use the xbox live with the bigger hard drive, it is set up so that it if microsoft checks it it thinks its a 10 gig.

Im sorry to clutter your thread... but How do you turn the chip off? How much would you charge to do all this to my xbox?
With the executer 3 you just hold down the power button for a second.

there are switches on the back of the xbox to turn it off. an on/off, banks1 & 2, and a safeguard on/off

i've had a modded xbox for almost 2 years now and i love it. My friend had one for sale on here with the old dvd drive, factory hd and a white case that sold for $325 so you can see what a good deal this is. Bump for you.

hey i think my friend bought that one, was it the white case with the 2.2 i think is what it was. i went through and updated everything on it. It now has a X3 and the led stuff to read the temps and stuff while playing a game. Plus it has led all over it and a clear orange case.

Looks cool and all but how did you spend $400 modifying it? There must be something I am missing here. I have been to the sites and have researched this inside and out. I am stumped on how you could have possibly spent over $600 or even near it

$80=for the chip and xdapter
$40=the crystal case
$200=the hard drive
$40=dvd samsung drive
$20=S-video connector
$140=Xbox
that equals a total of 520 with out the games and the controlers.
the games i have on disk are, pro racecar driver,driv3r,mechassult,halo,burnout2, and fable.
the games on the xbox are... madden2005,mechassault2,burnout3,hitman,starwars battlefront,project gotham racing2,mercenaries,tony hawk underground 2,need for speed underground 2, and the games above. Plus i have some more that i will be adding soon.
So i guess that answers your question. this is very well worth it and 250 is too low
the one i just built for a guy has all the latest x3, the LED screen,led lights, 300gig HD, upgraded fan, and other stuff i cant think of. His total came to i think a little over 800 or more.

i am his room-mate, and i have spent well over $600 on mine, and not to mention i painted my own case, it can get really expensive, but you save by downloading everything to a larger hard drive

Yeah it makes more sense now.... :D I wasn't taking into consideration the actual cost of the unit. Take a stock X-box in trade plus cash?? I don't want to lowball you. You tell me what you think is fair.

$50 a game at 8 games is the cost of this xbox. You could fit a ton more on that hard drive. Mine has an 80 gig and i have 12 games and a ton of movies and it's still not full.
People don't realize that $400 for all this work is actually cheap.

thanks, yea i dont recomend that you just go to blockbusters and download it to the xbox. What i do i a download it on line and ftp it to the xbox.

you can burn them your self, and dvds too... the things that cost so muchon this xbox is the dvd drive and the hard drive. The chip isnt that much its around 80 dollars right now.

naw i dont have one how much would it be with the x box,parts and labor.
I'm not to familiar with the modded x-box, but I have a friend that I believe has a emulator(sp) on his plus he can download games on it. Is that what your x-box has & can do? I don't have online play so I'm not worried about that.

Modded Xboxs can play emulators, run ripped games and dvds, even run Linux if you'd like. This is a good deal and copying games is really easy. You can figure it out the first time you use it. This is a good deal.

I'm not to familiar with the modded x-box, but I have a friend that I believe has a emulator(sp) on his plus he can download games on it. Is that what your x-box has & can do? I don't have online play so I'm not worried about that.
yea it has emulators adaptors, but i havent put any games of those types of games on it yet.

i dont know im just not in to the leds never have been. im just in to making it run faster and better. Just like cars it can look like piece and i dont care as long as its fast and runs good.
