Dan has requested I help spread the words on his newest GTG.

A growing 'get together' in Arlington, TX has reached 300+ cars within the last two weeks. I'd like to open the invitation to your forum members and other high-end car owners. We have a wide variety of cars ranging from a Lamborghini Gallardo (2005) to Imported Nissan Skylines, Toyota Supras, Acura NSXs, and Corvette Z06's. This gathering takes place at:

Starting next week we will have a paid police officer and security to help with keeping the meet under control. Do not be scared by their presence, they are there to ensure everyone's safety - not to shut down the gathering. The meet is from 8:30pm-10:15pm (last call @ 10:20pm) - everyone will be asked to leave after the coffee shop closes.

This is a gathering of good car clubs and car enthusiast organizations in the area. Let's keep this meet going by supporting the open businesses, respecting guidelines at the meet, and providing donations. These donations can be dropped in the 'donations box' located in the coffee shop to help pay the police officer, security, and other expenses.

The skylines are from GS-motorsports and come with the dallasdrift club. A new car club - dfwcarclub.com is starting an alliance between area clubs and businesses to promote legal car gatherings / shows / track events in the DFW metroplex.

Fine print: dfwcarclubs is helping with providing the police officer and security. Anyone that comes to the 'get together' is asked to follow presented guidelines that will be posted and/or handed out - those who do not cooperate are subject to authorities (Arlington Police Dept.). America's Best Coffee is NOT a sponsor of the meet although they are kind enough to provide a group discount. As a side note. This gathering is a legal gathering supported by local business and the city of Arlington. This is the reason we have Guidlines/Rules.

This Monday March 21st: CD performance will be out looking at our meet. If there's enough Domestics, CD performance will consider sponcering. Nizza Pizza will be out there also selling pizza's, American Best Coffee will sell the drinks, Hooter Girls and/or Babydoll girls will be out there. Our goal is to turn this GTG into an Event for all to enjoy. So please come out and support this Meet.

There would be potential if people didn't take their unfinished POS crs out there, thinking it's all badass.

I hate DFWCC b/c they are not the kind of car club I would ever be in, trying to over organize is getting on my nerves. They can't tell people that only certain people can park in certain areas and not allow someone to park where they want to designat for some other vehicle. That is descriminatory and I told Dan that it was but he still makes his "staff" try to do it.

I liked when it was a small meet and everyone just packed into one lot and none of this out of hand crap happened. And being the only meet that is somewhat close to me, I guess I shouldn't complain.

darkROAM_1, I can understand you hating DFWCC, keep in mind the're not a car club but an meet/GTG organizer. There are 6 major club supporting this meet.

They can't tell people that only certain people can park in certain areas and not allow someone to park where they want to designat for some other vehicle.
Actually they can tell people to move and reserve parking to local clubs. It's not descriminatory it's call sponsorship.
Anyway this meet is over organized but it's over organized for a reason. as the month go by they will be raffles for performance parts, cash prizes and other suprises. this meet will move forward on becoming an Event and then we will move on to a bigger location. We have lots of major sponsors who will all be giving out savings to you. All I can say. If you don't like it, you don't like it. move on. I'm just tired of the cops kicking me out everywhere I go. At least I know I won't get kicked out of this meet. And if this meet fails it really doesn't matter to me. I'll move on searching for another location where I can just hang out with my friends. until then I'm going to use this GTG as much as I can and help support this so my guys can have a place to show off there cars....
