I've been watching this and the tournament today. It seems to me as if McGwire and Sosa are giving the most non-discript answers possible. McGwire just looks/sounds guilty whenever he gives an answer. Truely sad.

i mean really, who cares if ballplayers use roids? those damn parents were talking about their kids killing themselves because of roids.....don't think so....maybe better parenting would be key there...

I have played and watched baseball all my life and can honestly say that I will no longer watch it on a professional level. I was also watching the senate hearing and have to say this:

1. Now Jose Canseco wants immunity in order to be able to testify "fully"
2. Whats up with the highly unbelievable crying tactic from McGwire
3. Now all of a sudden Sosa doesn't speak english well
4. Why do all the players find it necessary to include their whole life story such as Sosa's growing up with four siblings and rafting here from cuba story, have to do at all with steroid use? And what's up with Curt Schilling telling the military history of his WHOLE family.

It's a shame that all the greats who put up records in the books, achievments are being replaced with cowards who are on steriods.

ESPECIALLY Barry Bonds. How do you hit more homeruns in your last four or five years of your career than in the first ten. Can't stand him the most.

Thanks

I think steroids are great for baseball.

The bigger these guys get, the more homeruns they hit.
The more homeruns, the better the games.

steroids make you stronger, they don't improve hitting technique or hand eye coordination.

sam principle as golf. i don't think that if Tiger started on the juice, he would be smacking it any further. lol

so who cares if they used roids. Babe Ruth was a womanizing drunk and a mean fuck, but nobody had a Congressional hearing about that.

You can't expect those guys to get up there and go "yeah, I took roids." when they got kids and family to worry about.

it's nobody's business what they do in the locker room or at home.

sports fans just look for a reason to bitch.
