Could you post up a few details about it?
And as far as websites go, I just want to read about different types of bikes, parts, sizes, etc...
Thanks! :)

what kind of bike did you ride? what do you want? how much do you want to spend? its alot easier if you know what kind of bike you want before you go looking for parts. what do you want to do with the bike?
also, ill try to get some info on the MSF course. I think there are a few people on here who teach it or know people who do

Might want to pick up a cheap little 250 to learn on then advance to the bigger bikes. I hear the Honda Rebel is supposed to be good to learn on and they use some of those bikes in the MSF Course. Make sure you have riding gear and wear a helmet. Good luck in finding a bike and welcome to the club. :)

What bike did you ride, or did you ride on the back? Might not want to get a sport bike to learn on. It sounds like you do not know much about bikes, and a sport bike will get you into trouble fast.

I believe I rode on a Yamaha R6... not sure though. I don't know anything about bikes and I pretty much hopped on, rode about a mile, and then hopped off.

Yep, once you get on one you will want one. First bike I road was my dad's Harley. A week later I went to buy one. Sold the Harley for school and now I have a 96 Magna cruiser. Not too much in the sport bikes. I just like to cruise around. Be safe if you get one. People around here are nuts in their cars. ;)

Like bottlerocket said, if you want to ride a real bike you'll want to ride on back of a liter bike, say like my R1

Jodi, what you need to do is come with me to the next track day I go to. I was supposed to go to Cresson tomorrow but waited too long to sign up. That'll give you a good feel for different types of bikes out there and how they respond. You'll also get a chance to BS with other riders....you'll learn a lot! I think the next one is April 4th? 14th? I can't remember right now. I'll let you know, though! Even if you're not riding you can still mingle. Maybe sit in on a Level 1 class or something. :)
