First, diet is key. You can run all you want, but if your shoveling crap down your throat you will get minimal results. What's your running schedule look like? Most people do OK for weight loss on 20-30 mins cardios 3-4 times a week. You could also start a weight training program to help boost metabolism and increase lean body mass.

I run 20 min 3 times a week, and weights 2 days. just started 2 weeks ago looking to get the most out of my workout.

You are barely breaking the fat burning threshold at 20 minutes. It takes about 20 minutes to deplete your supply and begin to burn fat for energy. take it up to 30 mins each session and you should see improved results.
Drink a bunch of water too, that is needed for your body to move the fat out.

You burn more calories in a 15-20 minute high intensity interval training session than you do if you jog for 30 minutes.

He was talking about burning fat. You would see better results in a in a 40 minute jog then you would a 15-20 minute high intensity exercise. Were talking about arobic and anarobic exercise.

Remember, muscle is constantly burning calories even at rest. Try two sets of five with 5 min's rest between them. 5 sec's down, 5 sec's up. Start fairly light and cycle upwards 5#'s per day 'til you max. You'll still have plenty of energy for cardio. In fact, you'll prob'ly feel better afterwards.
