THAT is an understatement............

LMAO :D

What? You've got to be more than loaded to have about $2500 for a mortgage payment on a one bedroom place? :p

Price is $279,900. Prefer to have it all at once, though I am considering a year lease offer I got today.

Yes, it is pricey, but compared to other places in the area, I am about average price per square foot for a recent construction - especially with the quality of finish-out. Plus, it has a large garage that houses Mustangs perfectly (trust me, I know).

Thanks for the positive comments. (and the others, I guess)

I think the place is GREAT!

The comments about having to be loaded to buy it come purely out of jealousy. :p

what would something like this lease for (monthly)? would you be interested in lease with option to buy after a year?

I would be open to a lease with purchase option, though I would rather sell outright, just because of the amount of equity I have tied up in the property. That being said, monthly rent would need to be around $2500.

If the weather holds up, I plan on having an open house on Sunday from 1-3. Feel free to come by and check out the place. I'll probably be pretty bored with no furniture, no TV, no computer...

Looks like it may be raining this afternoon in Dallas, so I'm going to wait until next week to hold an open house.

Also, if anyone is interested in a lease-to-purchase, I offered someone a deal yesterday that I can extend to others. Let me know.

We design and install the HVAC in all the CityHomes condo's. I work on that plan of your apartment all the time. Cityhomes is building those ALL over the metroplex.

However . . . for $270,000+, I'd much rather have a house with more than one bedroom.

Although there is one cityhome we just worked on that are three story condo's like that one, but all of them have a sundeck on the roof, some half sundeck, half gameroom  Now that would be sweet for parties.

Some people would rather have a house, but for my wife and I, it has been a perfect place in a great part of town. Since we travel all the time, we didn't want to deal with owning a house, mowing a yard, etc. Just lock up, turn on the alarm, and no problems. Plus, walking distance to great shopping, restaurants, parks, the Katy Trail, easy commute to downtown, AA Center, Love Field, SMU, etc, etc. You're paying for a)location and b)quality of the finish out. Plus, at 1600sf of living space, it's not small even though it only has one bedroom.

Then again, we are selling because we bought a house. Our travel patterns now call for trips out of DFW every couple of days instead of Love Field, so we moved closer to DFW. Plus, it's hard to find a condo/townhome with a 3-car garage (although this one has a 2-car garage - one of the major selling points for me).

That's cool. I hear they are quality by the guys that go out to the sites. I stay in the office. Cityhomes is only one of our customers, but sometimes they send us plans that are a PIA to get a A/C system in because they really do get every bit of space out of those condo's that they can. So I can believe you on the not being small.
