Okay, this is an older, bigger projector that has the Red, Green, and Blue lenses and needs much more tuning to look good than the newer, smaller projectors you see these days. I am not offering any kind of set-up or much instruction in doing so, it isn't easy but isn't impossible either. I will help with what I can, but I won't do it all. Normal tuning on a 3 gun is roughly 8 hours, and I don't have that kind of time :)

I currently have it sitting in the floor appoximately 11' away from the wall and it is projecting a 4:3 120" diagonal image that has never been fully tweaked and looks pretty good. If the distance from the wall is much different than this, more tuning will be needed. I do have the manual, but it is not immensley helpful when it comes to the image set-up, but for someone that has patience it is enough to figure out on your own.

It will only accept a composite signal or a S-video signal (an adapter is needed to use the S-video port). If I'm not mistaken, it was made in 1997. I can verify that tonight as well as snap a few pics of it and post them when I have them.

I've got a brother-in-law who installs systems and has had a couple of these size projectors he ended up with. I can vouch for you that they do project huge image. I think his is only 110". He has his set up in the garage.

There ain't NOTHING like playing PS2 on a screen that size. :D

Sounds like a good price to me.

Just to get the ball rolling. I'll offer $150.

ClockwrkOrangeS4

$225, you pick it up in The Colony(and take it down a flight of stairs), and it's yours

I know this would go for quite a bit more on EBay, but I really don't feel like shipping 110lbs

I will keep your offer in mind, thanks for making an effort :)

I'd think about it, but I really have no use for it, as I already have a 65" HD that I'm pretty happy with. But I did almost buy a projector before my TV, so it's got me interested, but not enough to go over the disposable cash I have available. It's definitely worth what you're asking for. If I were you I'd just put it on E-bay and complain about the shipping another time. I've pretty much stopped putting stuff on here and just going straight to e-bay.

Besides all that, definitely let me know if you want to sell @ $150. I'll do the leg work for E-bay after I've played with it! :D

back from the dead

$150, but whoever buys it will have to buy a universal style AC power cord ($5) at Radio Shack

Ideally you would place it under a coffee table or something and it would be out of the way.

This is a steal at $150, I just want to be rid of it since i have a new DLP.

Tim, hollar at Scott over on TC. I don't know if he's looking for anything like that, but he might be interested in it for the media room in his new place, especially at that price.

how dark does the room have to be to see the picture?

ClockwrkOrangeS4

With the shades drawn in the middle of the day you'll be able to see it, but it won't be vivid. Obviously, the darker the better.

any pics of the image it projects? are there any problems with the convergence, etc? would you consider anything in trade?

it won't be hooked up until someone buys it ;)

the only problem with the convergence is that you'll have to set it up yourself, which isn't as easy as a rear projection tv.

trades? I really can't think of anything off hand, but I don't need any car parts and I am open to ideas
